Stayed at this hotel for a wedding. Location of hotel was good, but we had some problems while we were there. My guest & I ... arrived a head of the standard check in time, but we checked to see if our room might be available. The agent at the front desk informed us that there wasn't any king rooms, like we reserved available, but she took our phone number & said she would call, she never called. We got to our reserved room & discovered that we were in a double room instead of a king. After calling front desk to see if we could change I was told that I never had reserved a king room & they had none left that night. The gentleman on the phone was very rude & spoke to me like a child. The next morning I had to go down speak with a new agent & manager, who were able to change things, but they didn't seem to care. Very disappointing considering I could have stayed at another property for less money, but I choose this one to be closer to my family.

From checkin to checkout, we had a really nice time at this hotel. Check in staff was very accomodating - we arrive 4 hours ... before their published checkin time and they were able to get us right into a room. Free internet access in the rooms and everything was clean and comfortable (especially the beds - crazy comfortable). Relatively near downtown - we took cabs and it was about $20-25 to get to downtown. Would definitely stay here again.

Mr. G Sep 26, 2009
Everything was great about our stay at the hotel, except for the loud morning meeting at 7:00 a.m. on the third floor. The ... staff were friendly and very helpful, the room was always clean. Yes, I would come again and stay at this hotel, but I would insist on a room away from elevators and conference/meeting rooms.

I've always liked the way they give you a nice warm cookie to munch while you make your way to your room. We had a situation ... happen during our stay where our floor was filled mace in the air. the staff quickly evacuated the floor and made arrangements for us to have a new room. all thru that commotion, most of the staff were very courteous and helpful.

Doubletree Hotel Denver
Suzi Sep 8, 2009
We were in Denver for medical treatments. Physically, the hotel was impeccable. It was clean and quiet and allowed for a ... needed rest. Appreciated the in-room internet service and the business center. In-room coffee was better than usual. It all seemed a little stuffy, though. Would have liked a warmer, friendlier atmosphere. Leave me a cookie in my room, not just when I check-in! Food prices were high, room service, especially, but there were other eating places nearby, and the location was convenient for what we needed. We missed not having a refrigerator in the room. A suite hotel might suit our needs better.

I came to Denver to visit some friends and enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is within walking distance to the Quebec Square ... shopping area. It has a Walmart,IHOP,Panera Bread, and a couple of different banks to name a few. There is a Starbucks in the lobby as well as a cafe. I also enjoyed the patio where the hot tub is located. The staff was very helpful with any questions we had.

Recent Trip to Denver
Ross Aug 29, 2009
Excellant stay at the hotel. The staff were very nice and courteous we arrived around 12:30-1p and they had no problem ... checking us in a little early (opposed to 3p). The hotel has a nice whirlpool located outside on the concrete patio area along w/ a pool inside and also a sauna in each male/female bathrooms in pool area. The only downside was the window in our room had some sort of condensation on it from the outside so it was difficult to see the beautiful view of the denver skyline (no it wasn't from our a/c, or enough to complain to change rooms, because we weren't intending on staying inside the hotel room for the majority of time there). No mini fridge in the room, I guess because they want you to come down to their cafe or bar to eat.

Decent place, good location
T Hill Aug 26, 2009
Stay here for three nights. The location is pretty good, easy to get to. Seems like everything in the Denver area is ... 10-15min from here, good spot. Check-in was extremely easy, took no longer than one minute, no joke. The guest services staff was nice and very helpful, knew the area well and directions were clear and easy. Parking sucks here if you get back late, but the area is pretty safe so no worries. The AC was extremely inefficient. You would think that having the AC maxed out would make the room freezing, that was not the case, stuck at a warm 70 degrees. The housekeeping said they came while we were gone and fixed it, but didn't notice a difference that night, checked out the next day. The rooms are pretty small but worked for what we needed to (just sleeping). We had one king bed, shower was nice. The counter/sink was only 2-3 feet wide and a majority was taken by the sink so don't stay here if you need a lot of counter/sink space. No DVD player, TV works great (HBO, ESPN, etc) with 40 channels. Indoor pool was nice, could actually swim legit laps. Would stay here again for the price I paid.

I was attending a conference at the convention center and it was a $20 cab ride each way! Public transportation is available and convenient for the same roundtrip it cost $4 instead of $40 (it just takes a little longer so plan accordingly). The staff was very helpful in showing me how to navigate the system.
