Work Stay
Hotel is clean but a little old. It is currently undergoing some renovations but I didn't notice too much noise. The bed was very nice and the TV was new and large. The bathroom is where you really see the age.

motel is difficult to access from Quebec street especialy after dark.
The room was in nssd of maintenance in several areas( room 517), maids failed to leave wash cloths one day. Carpet could be cleaned. Our key cards expired one and a half hours before check out time, others experenced the same problem, the front desk person had trouble correcting this problem. I would not recomend this Motel to friends!!!

Nothing Fancy
This was my first time in Denver and I didn't know what part of the city to stay in. The location of this hotel is pretty boring; mostly strip malls, freeways and lots of horrible road construction that made it very difficult to get to and from the hotel. I was going to go out and explore the area, maybe find some good food for dinner, but the area was so uninspiring I just opted to eat in the hotel restaurant. I had a chicken quesadilla. It was horrible, bland and greasy. And, there were pieces of chicken bone still in it! I spent the night terrified I would get food poisoning and miss the interview I had the next morning. I thankfully did not get sick, but still felt pretty gross about the experience. The room itself was ok, clean and quiet. The staff at the desk were super friendly and helpful but the waitress in the restaurant seemed really annoyed to have to help the 3 people eating dinner. Overall, it was ok, but if I come back to Denver, I won't be staying here again.

Business Trip
Hotel is hard to get to the way it is nestled back away from main roads. Train tracks run right by the Hotel and blow air horn as it crosses main streets. Train woke us at least twice during each night. Clock radio went off at 3 am blaring alarm and music , startling us awake. Had to unplug from wall to get to stop. This was in the second room we were put in upon arriving as the first smelled from cigarette smoke (non-smoking room that we signed to promise we wouldn't smoke in!). Staff member told us another major hotel owner would be taking over the Red Lyon Hotels...making us believe that the facility and staff was just on borrowed time and didn't really care that facility wasn't taken care of. Needless to say, I will not ever stay in a Red Lyon Hotel in the future. My wife and I were in Colorado to interview for work and decide if we wanted to move to area. Only area we found workable and livable was Fort Collins area.

Red Lion
The Red Lion was a nice place to stay in the Denver area. It has easy access to Denver International Airport and is convenient to hopping onto the Interstate Freeway system. I was also impressed with the hotel's cleanliness, the business center and the restaurant. The cable TV was also an asset and had the basic news, sports and entertainment channels. I would definitely recommend the Red Lion to my frients and consider staying there again.

Disappointed
We arrived late in the evening , the staff was friendly and helpful. Got to the room and found it clean and neat ,it was a older Hotel . Tv wasn't working , call the desk , they sent someone right over to fix it . The aux cable had been ripped out of the back of it ,and kept falling off if the tv was moved or touched so they fix it temporarily for our stay . Wasn't any parking spaces available on the second night of our stay due to somethng going on in the bar . Several people were hanging out in the parking lot and outside of the entrances , noisy .. Won't choose this hotel again

Red Lion Denver Central
Great hotel overall--loved it, but it is older. Lobby is "huge" with beautiful decor. Hotel rooms need updating and hallways are dated too--they need upgrading also; halls are a bit dark/dingy, needs better/brighter lighting, paint and carpeting. Hotel accomodated my request for a "quiet" room--and it was quiet in the part where I stayed. The Red Lion has a fairly large swimming pool (which was covered/closed for winter season) but hotel needs its own outdoor jacuzzi/spa next to pool. Loved the bar area/big lounge and dining area with meals. (NOTE: Staff informed me that this hotel will be remodeled and will become a DoubleTree Hotel next year) NOTE: Getting to and from hotel was not easy for me, location was a problem. Hotel is on a frontage road (off of Quebec) and was tricky to get to if you were not familiar with the area or were not paying close attention. Was traveling by myself on a short vacation to visit my family who live in the greater Denver area.

Dining tip:
In Hotel
This Red Lion Hotel offers a breakfast buffet for $7.95 everyday 6:30a-10:30a (subject to change); Lunch and dinner also available, check with front desk. NOTE: a couple of fast food places are a short/medium walk/distance from hotel. FYI...you can also take a short drive to get to these same fast food places but it can be a bit tricky to get to them.
