Room was very clean and Bed was very confortable.
However, room was very small and outdated. AC did not work too good.
But it was great just to sleep after a long day. Don't pay too much.
Breakfast was just bread/bagels and coffee.
This place is old and dirty. Room had stains on carpet, walls, towels, bedding. This non-smoking room had a bad odor. Had hole in ceiling from leaking roof. A/C unit worked but very noisy. Advertised WiFi didn't work. TV recieved 12
channels, two of them were the same pbs station.
Do yourself a favor, spend $10 dollars more and get a decent room somewhere else.
I was disappointed in the room, cleanliness, disrepair (door safety, sink, recessed fixture in bathroom ceiling not covered)and overall the room was dark even with most of the lights on. I think there should have been more care than what I
experienced. I could have gotten a room much cheaper and had more service. The Ice machine and coke dispensor were not very close, they were across the entire parking lot. The office wasn't very inviting.
I was given a room in the older part of the hotel. I could hear people in the next room and the AC was fairly loud making it difficult to sleep at night. There was a small coffeemaker, small fridge and small microwave in the room. The room
itself was small but large enough for a single person.
There were few other amenities at this hotel but fortunately Cortez, CO is a fairly small city and easy to get around so the location was not an issue
Right on 160, so convenient location from AZ heading towards Mesa Verde. Sonic and Arby's right there. Nice brochures of the area available in the lobby. Good air conditioner in the room. Need to turn on the light switch by the door to
activate electricity for small fridge. Need to get the password from the front desk to access the wireless internet. Good basic room- no frills, no tub, some spots on the carpet. I was only there for one night, but it served my purpose.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short drive from hotel
At least in the summer, the gate to Mesa Verde is always open, so you don't need to wait until 8 am to enter the park even though various sites don't open until 8 or 8:30.
