Sorry
Not a good stay. First we were put in a room that was vibrating. I asked at the desk what it was and was told it was the dryers from washing sheets. It lasted a long time and I asked to be moved to another room. We moved and when we came back to our room the next afternoon the room had not been cleaned. I had to go get some clean towels.

Very Pleasant
The attendants were very nice- they opened doors, showed the way to the breakfast area, etc. The hotel room was very clean. I liked the "earth-friendly" 3-day wash idea. Saves them money too...

Less than we expected
This hotel was good at hyping themselves up. But when we got there, it was a lot less than what we were expecting. All the room doors were outside, like a motel. (That wouldn't have been a big deal if I wasn't able to see lots of light around 3 sides of the door.) So to get to breakfast we had to walk outside in the cold. Rooms: Small. Much smaller than normal. The beds however were among the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on at a hotel. If it weren't for the beds, I would have given the hotel 1 star. And they gave an ample number of pillows that had different thicknesses and comfort levels. The alarm clock didn't work at all, other than show the correct time. The shower was setup for short people. I had an excellent leg workout squatting down low enough to get my head under the showerhead. The water pressure wasn't very good. And there was a shortage of continuous hot water. Continental Breakfast: I actually laughed out loud when I saw the Lego Waffle packages set out for breakfast beside the toaster. Waffles, Raisin Bran, 2% milk, coffee, orange & apple juice, some muffins and yogurt were our selections. Among the most meager selection of continental breakfasts. Location: The driveway to the hotel is not obvious. We drove past it because it isn't marked between two other businesses. We ended up driving from around the back of the hotel. There is essentially no view. There are too many things blocking the larger mountains. We could see some of the smaller mountains out in the distance. The hotel is not nestled on an eastern slope. Technically, all of Colorado Springs is nestled on an eastern slope. I guess we got what we paid for.....well maybe a little less.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
Colorado Springs is a FUN place to visit. I have been there over a dozen times. Almost all the best attractions are near Manitoue Springs, but that area is known to be very slummy, especially at night. So we picked a hotel that was close to Manitoue, but not in Manitoue.

Gross Motel
When we booked this hotel, we thought it was a *hotel*. It's a motel. We've stayed in a motel a few times before and decided to make due. It was dirty and scary looking on the outside and faced a busy street. We checked in, and the lady kept hacking all over us and our baby. She was at check out the next day, too, coughing away over all the people. Our keys were manual punch keys that were very hard to operate in our room. Another guest had to help us. The room was OK... it stunk of Febreeze, and the walls were thin, which made us feel bad when our baby kept waking up crying. Then, in the morning, we went to get breakfast as soon as it opened (7am on Saturday). There were frozen waffles, apples, packaged muffins, yogurt, and instant oatmeal packets. My husband went to get apple juice, and gnats came out of the juice dispenser. Gnats. I thought we'd gotten such a good deal ($52) on this room, but I decided the room definitely wasn't worth that.
