upset customer tess
faulty advertising
It was a nice hotel by itself but advertised it as to having a heated swimming pool and a playground. Its swimming pool was closed seeing it was a seasonal pool and the play ground well, there is not one. I am very unhappy over this.

Wonderful!
This was a fantastic hotel for our week long stay. It was us and another couple that met there, so the location was great. Restaurants were just a short drive away. Friendly staff and the rooms had a full kitchen. We utilized the continental breakfast every day and the evening social hour was sometimes our light supper because it was hors d'oevres and soup!

Does the job
Stayed here for 2 nights. The rooms have a full kitchen, fully stocked down to silverware, dish detergent, dishwasher detergent, and cooking utensils. Made it very easy for me to reheat food and such. The hotel was relatively quiet and the staff were pleasant. Overall, nothing fancy but clean and well stocked for guests. Would stay there again.

A Gem of a Place
This is a fabulous hotel. At the price point, I don't know that I've ever had better value in my traveling life. The rooms are clean, well appointed, and comfortable. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It's close to the highway (not so close that you hear it), and easy to get to. The breakfast is far superior to the usual rubber bagel and dixie cup of orange kool-aid that usually is passed off as a free breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, business or family traveler, and will certainly stay again if my travels take me to Colorado Springs.

The Downtown YMCA is a great place to workout. The staff is friendly, the locker rooms are clean and the pools are fabulous. You can workout and then walk around downtown.

We will choose another hotel
We will not return to this hotel and it is highly unlikely that we will return to another Hyatt brand period. While it was clean and the rooms comfortable, the ammenities and value were no where to be found. The morning breakfast was a poor excuse for a good meal. The night staff at the desk was great, but the hotel manager and cook were terribly unfriendly and do not understand guest service. Not a good time at all.

Staff was great, Hotel needs improvement
The Staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was much to be desired. Don't get me wrong the beds furniture and linens were fine, as was the room itself - (layout etc.) It was clean. But the hotel overall appeared run down, the back "security door" was broken so you could just pull it open to get to the parking lot. the Air conditioner worked well, but it was LOUD! it would CLUNK on and off all night long! Compound that with the sound of the running water from the room above us (drain noise) and the wonderful coal train that went by seemingly every 1-2 hours.. (We made the best of it though, My 3 yr old son loves trains! So he was entertained..) I was happy to have the included breakfast and afternoon happy-hour snacks/ beverage service. All in all it was "OK". Summary: Pros: People; The breakfast / happy-hour; overall centrally located in Colorado Springs. Cons: The Air conditioner clunking on and off; The Sound of running water in the pipes from the room above all night long; The train tracks being so close to the hotel. Recommendation: Request a top floor room, on the courtyard (pool) side, and you will be fine.

Short drive from hotel
Go see the Cave of the winds, I haven't been there for several years, but there were some vast improvements made since my last visit, a very entertaining tour. Also for a family dining experience; Go to Fargo's Pizza, it is great for the family, and the Pizza is wonderful! Located on Platte Avenue.

This place really tries!!!
Super nice staff, large easy-to-live-in rooms, free big hot breakfast, nice pool, close to everything, and extra stuff like toothpaste, free internet ( that worked really well) and free dinner 4 times a week. The place is generous. My only complaint was the night time noise. It attracts a younger crowd that likes the night! ...But they offered a different room that was quieter and some earplugs. I would stay again.
