great place to stay- will definitely go back!

We had a great room which was clean. The fitness room was nice and air conditioned. We ordered room service the night before for a breakfast delivery time of 6:00- 6:15. It arrived right at 6:00, which we requested.

Ask the front desk for a list of restaurants. We went to an Italian place that was fantastic! They are really friendly and helpful at the front desk.

Absolute magic in Colorado Springs

I went to the hotel on business from the UK and stayed there because a work colleague recommended it. My 75 year old parents, hearing I was going to be there, drove 600 miles north from their home in Las Cruces, NM, to see me. The night we all arrived, Colorado Springs got hit with the worst freeze in 14 years. The hotel was absolutely wonderful, helping us with everything we needed to get around safely in the icey conditions. Food was a great value. They were particularly great with my parents. Thank you Misty and all your colleagues!!!

Saltgrass Steakhouse...It may be a chain, but it was downright fantastic. Try the wedge salad.

Unfriendly Staff

The hotel itself is very nice and so are the rooms. No complaints there! But the staff was not friendly. I booked online and paid $10 extra for breakfast for 2. When I checked in the staff didn't give me the tickets so I went back to get them. The front desk said they didn't see where I had purchased it so I showed her my email with the confirmation on it. She looked at it and said she didn't believe me and it wasn't enough proof. so she got her manager per my request and the manager gave me a hard time as well. I mean, it's $10!! Is that really worth upsetting a customer over?!? they still wouldn't give them to me!! They said they would have to call the website I booked with direct and ask them and if the company agreed with me then they would send the tickets up to my room. REALLY?!? Pretty high security for a $10 breakfast. Completely ridiculous! Then When I got my credit card bill they charged a 2nd room on my card. Good thing I know the person because otherwise I would have to dispute the charge with the hotel and the credit card company and something tells me that if they through a huge fit over a $10 breakfast, they wouldn't be too keen on a $160 room. I definitely will not be staying there ever again.

A little disappointed

When we viewed the description of the Colorado Springs Marriott hotel, we jumped at the chance to stay at what was portrayed as a top class hotel. Unfortunately, the Colorado Springs Marriott is not a top class hotel. The Colorado Springs Marriott is an average, run of the mill hotel. Yes, the view from those lucky enough to receive a room with a mountain view is great, the bar service (especially Paco) was exceptional, but the general room & hotel condition, along with the less than convenient location let it down.

better hotels nearby

We stayed here since we almost always stay with Marriott. It tends to be consistent and comfortable. But, the rooms were quite musty and my kids allergies were awful due to to mildew. The breakfast buffet was OK. But, the desk messed up our reservation and forgot to give us tickets to present at the meal. We had to fix the problem during the middle of meal. Though the staff very kind and apologetic for the rooms and the mess up, I would say that the hotel is not up to the general standards of a Marriott. We switched to the nearby Hilton for a lesser price and found it both more convenient and cleaner.

Customer Service

the place is great! so is the bar and food! good amenities! but if you have several bags don't count on the service to help you with them. you apparently need to get your own bag cart also. they also like to charge you for random items you didn't purchase. so watch your statements and give them a phone call and hopefully they'll take care of it for you!

my stay

overall is good and the staff seemed very friendly. However, the house-keeping/maintainess people are always making some noises near my room. The room is pretty clean but the mattress is too soft for me!
