Ask for a view room. Depending on occupancy the price for a view room varies from zero - $20 a more a nite. The staff is pretty customer friendly, so use your negotiating skills.

Nice location but nothing else
Academy dad Sep 8, 2009
We traveled to Colorado Springs to visit our son in the Air Force Academy. The hotel was nice but there was no other service ... offered. We were shown our rooms which were nice but then left without a concierge or any help whatsoever. Our room key expired a day before our trip did, I assume because when we first checked in, they had us checking out a day earlier than we reserved. I thought we had corrected this at check-in. When I called the hotel front desk at 10:00pm the day before we were supposed to have checked out to explain our room keys no longer worked, the lady at the front desk told us we should have made sure the lady checking us in, coded our keys so they would work the entire trip. I found this statement to be ridiculous. Basically it was our fault, we didn't micro-manage the lady at the front desk when we checked in to make sure not only did she correct our reservation but also coded our room key accordingly. I'm incredulous.

Good Value, Great Location !
Bob Picker Aug 15, 2009
This was our first trip to Colorado. The Cheyanne Mountain Resort received decent reviews. We weren't disappointed. Check ... in and check out were quick & easy. Hotel staff was professional, friendly, and helpful. The resturant and bar servers were all excellent! The Hotel resturant, bar and game area were great for the family too. The rooms are fairly well appointed but may need a little updating. We paid $20 extra for a view room which was money well spent. The country club gym is excellent! Very well appointed, friendly staff and very, very clean! The guys in the golf shop are also great. They cheerfully loaned me a few clubs for the driving range (three days in a row) which was awfully nice. This Resort was a good value and great experience. I would definately stay there again.

Perfect Couple's Getaway
Mike, Laker Fan Jul 25, 2009
We were ready for a relaxing and peaceful hotel by the time we arrived. A little hard to find because of sign that blended ... into the foliage but once on sight, we were shown our lodge and our pace slowed down. We had a view of the mountains and golf range with our own private patio. Lots of stairs, in and around each lodge, so would be challenging for small children or disabled. Breakfast buffet with outside tables was wonderful and we also enjoyed fabulous dinner at country club which was very private. We would return.

Amazing View
Annie Jul 9, 2009
WE were sight-seeing during this trip and the hotel was near the highway (without major roads being visible from the hotel) ... and it was a short trip to anywhere we wanted to go. The resort had a great view of a small lake, a golf course, and Cheyenne Mountain. We were there during the 4th of July and we got to see 3 different fireworks shows (from different areas around the mountain). The staff was very helpful and friendly as well.

The Cheyenne Mt resort was a gr8 choice. Super facilities - pool, gym & grounds, comfortable rooms, location (close to ... everyhting - pikes peak, garden of the gods, cave of the winds, Co state fair etc)and nice staff. Dinner (seafood buffet) & other food (coffe) very good but expensive ($120 for family of 4).

Our check in was immediate and easy. The room was large, clean, and had a view of the golf couse. The room was quiet and well ... appointed. The food was an ample buffet for breakfast and by menu for the evening meal. We partook of fruit and cheese in the bar uthe afternoon of our arrival. The hotel has rooms on two floors with no elevator. Next time I would request a room on the first floor. This hotel is a well hidden treasure. We found it to be very easy access to downtown Colorado Springs. We had no proble getting anywhere in the area. We would stay there again.

My review of Cheyenne Mountain Resort
Susan Sep 2, 2007
My family of four enjoyed our stay at the Cheyenne Mountain resort. The check in process was very easy and we were ... transported to our room in one of the lodges in a golf cart by a very helpful and friendly bell hop. The room was a good size for two queen beds and as well as the standard bathroom we had an additional sink outside the bathroom. The leisure facilities were excellent. We used the small leisure pool close to the main area of the hotel which was heated and open until 10pm (which did create some noise in the early evening) and the olympic size outdoor pool. The dinner buffet seemed expensive but the food was excellent with plenty of choice so in the end we decided it was good value, particularly as it was half price for the children (up to 12.)

Great Get-Away
Rachel Jul 13, 2007
This is the first vacation my husband and I have taken together since our honeymoon 4 years ago. I am so glad we decided to ... stay at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort - it was gorgeous there. The staff is very friendly and willing to help out in any way possible. We enjoyed the Will Rogers Lounge at night - the Mango Fandango is the best cocktail I've ever had. There was so much to do in Colorado and not enough time to do all of them. If your not sure what to do, someone at the resort will help you plan each day. I would definetely recommend anyone visiting Colorado to stay at this resort. I look forward to coming back with several friends.

Seven Falls and The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is very close (5 minutes away). Garden of the Gods is also close and its free. Pikes Peak Cog Railroad was exciting. My favorite place to visit was the Royal Gorge - absolutely gorgeous.
