Excellent experience!

Without exception, the staff was friendly helpful, and genuine. I particularly enjoyed meeting Troy at the front desk; he is an excellent ambassador for Hilton. Troy took the initiative to upgrade our room without being asked . Sunday brunch was wonderful, from the service to the quality and variety of food. And the view is spectacular, Pike's Peak soaring right outside our window!

Visit Garden of the Gods, about 5 miles away. Bring some good walking shoes, though the path is paved and accessible. Sunrise or sunset are the best times for miraculous light on the red rocks.

the good the bad and the really ugly

We were very disappointed in the hotel. We had a one bed room for the first two nights with a rollaway. The shower had a cement floor; the thermostat didn't work; the bed was made with only flat sheets, therefore when you got into bed, everything came off!;no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The staff was excellent and accommodated you in every way possible. We got a two bed room for the last 3 nights which was much nicer, but the bed was made the same; the thermostat didn't work; no fan in bathroom. Ugh!

My favorite spots were the Garden of the Gods which was all free of charge and Pikes Peak which was another marvel of God's creations.

Dated Hotel, nice people.

This hotel is dated and needs some major room work. The bed was comfortable, the staff was very friendly, but if you are looking for a top shelf experience, this isn't it. The maid started knocking at 8:18 in the morning. Hang the privacy card if you don't want to be awakened very early.

great location and great staff

Daughter and I visited her son who is doing his culinary internship at The Broadmoor. We found the Atlers was a great location, close to him as well as easy drive to see some sites. The staff was very helpful in suggestions things to see and seemed very knowledgable about the various sites. Would stay there again next visit to Colorado Springs.
