1/2 a star is more like it

Flash back to the late 70's, early 80's decor and not the good decor. Chairs, couch, bed so uncomfortable, none of us could sleep. Stereo didn't work. No air conditioner, tried to open door to get fresh air & the traffic noise was so loud I couldn't hear anything else. No little amenities like shampoo or conditioner - everyone has those so who travels with them anymore! Hot tub closed early and didn't open till way past checkout. Definitely will never stay again.

Appalling would a nice comment about Trails End.

My husband and I had been staying in Vail mostly this year, but decided to give Breckenridge a try. We paid $350 for a one bedroom condo at Trails End. We were shocked when we walked into the condo provided. It had not been updated since the 1980's, furniture so bad you couldn't sit in it, and a bed that was something from a frat house. Oh yea, the heat didn't work either. To the staffs credit, after we complained, they did upgrade to a nicer two bedroom condo. Make sure you do your research before booking at Trails End, we wish we had done more, as we never would have chosen it.

Clean and Cozy but Needs an Update

We stayed in Unit 511 and found it to be clean and well stocked with towels and kitchen supplies. However, there were no on-site staff and we had to go to main street to checkin/out. The complex had areas that were under construction (not mentioned at booking) with the main lobby filled converted to a construction zone. Only one elevator was working and it was super slow. There was no information on how to find and access the swimming pool (discovered it was located across the street in another complex). The unit beds had mattresses that were cheap and THIN - not a good night's rest. The main room had an old TV (OLD!), the master bedroom had a small (!!) flat screen TV and the second bedrom had no TV at all. The place was nice overall but very dated and because of the uncomfortable beds, we wouldn't stay in this unit again.

Perfect Ski In-SkiOut

Trails End Condos was a perfect location. You got up in the morning and walked out the back door and was immediately at the Quiksilver lifts. It was close enough to eat lunch in our rooms. When someone in our party got sick they were able to ski home and go to bed. The rooms were comfortable with places to sit, relax and sleep. There was plenty of dishes to accommodate our needs when cooking for meals. We had adequate washcloths, hand and bath towels for showers. The room had a gas fireplace which added extra warmth to the cold outdoor temperatures. Compared to other places we have stayed ....it was the best!

Make sure you walk out the back door and see where the condo is located compared to the SKI RESORT.

Spring Break 09

Check in was a bit confusing.. no one on premises. Itinerary was not clear as to the check in procedure. Room was adequate for 3, would be tight if 4 people in room.. Would have liked a 2nd T.V. in bedroom . Hot tubs on site were a definite plus, pool however (across the street=inconvenient) was closed both times we tried to go.. Overall I would probably stay again due to proximity to the lift
