Location great

Ski trip. Great location. Great view. Great amenities. Rooms are paper thin and average. Certainly not luxurious but well worth it for the price. Would stay there again.

GREAT location, OK price

Great location for skiing/riding. Gondola is across the street and through a parking lot and you can ski in the front door from the 4 o'clock run with enough speed. Kids loved the indoor/outdoor pools and hottubs and free dvd rentals. The room only had a VHS player but we watched on laptops. The studio condos had great kitchens but the building itself was old. The indoor parking garage was GREAT for the -30 temps that we had while there.

thin walls, don't stay on the first floo

reasonably priced accomodations in town. If you have ear plugs, its a major bargain. Unfortunately, when someone in the room next was showering I could swear they were showering in my room. Also 6:30 am trash pick up was directly below me.

It feels like home!

Aside from having the best slope in the U.S. I love staying here because it feels like home. The ambiance of the room made it all perfect for me and my son. He enjoyed the heated swimming pool and the flat screen t.v. I personally enjoyed the small town. Take the back door and...voila!!!! Shopping is just a block away. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially [...] who was particularly attentive to our safety. Thanks again and we will be back with more friends.

Town is a block away. Starbucks is 2 blocks away. Bubba Gump is 3 blocks away. The village/Maggies is 5 blocks away but free ride buses and shuttles are everywhere. Visit the Great Outdoor Clothing and look for Ritu because they will give you the best discount.

Great location!

I would suggest calling and confirming all details of your trip with the hotel prior to arrival. What we booked online was not what they were trying to give us; it was suppose to have a kitchenette, sofa, and a separate room with a queen, it was one room with a fold down bed, and microwave. After a little complaining a little they found the mistake, gave us a free upgrade, and fixed everything. All in all it was a nice, clean hotel with a great staff, and a location you can't beat! You can literally ski down the 4 o-clock run puts you straight at the entrance of the hotel, great way to end the day!

Nearly Perfect

There's not much bad to say about River Mountain Lodge. The staff was extremely friendly. The rooms are very nice. The only bad thing I can really say is that the walls are a little thin. We were only in the room to sleep, and after a long day of hitting the slopes and partying, we went right to sleep. The locations is PERFECT! It's right near Main street, so walking anywhere is not a problem. There are two bus stops right out the front door. At the end of a long day of skiing, the "4 O'Clock" run literally ends at the front door! Just take off your skis, walk in the front door, and step up to the bar with the nicest and friendliest bartender you will ever meet, [...]. $1.50 draughts! But it is [...] that makes it all worth it. You won't need to hit up any other bar while you're there. I will DEFINITELY be returning to River Mountain Lodge next time I am in Breck.
