Great Location for Skiing.

Great amenities in the hotel, swimming pool, hot tubs, arcade, pool table. Good mixture of options for food between Spencers and the Deli. Brilliant location for skiing. It was only 20 yards to the ski hire shop, ski school, lift pass office and the Beaver Run Lift. It was the ultimate ski in and ou location. Room was small, comfortable, small but clean, but we there so little this didn't impact us. Shuttle bus to town was a massive help.

Great Location in need of a lot of TLC

The location doesn't get much better, this is true! It is a large complex with a lot of amenities. Problem is, it is in need of updating. Feels outdated. Hot tubs were way over crowded, (ugh, looked like human stew) nothing special at all. Game room was a favorite of the kids, but didn't have that WOW factor that made them want to stay in there for very long. Ski storage is NOT an easy task, particularly when you are in Building 1. Getting anywhere in the hotel is a chore and a HIKE! The ONE elevator made for lengthy waits. Many just took the stairs. Boots and all. Fun. Despite this, The worst part of the stay, was the lack of housekeeping staff. We had a toddler, and we kept him out of the room all day waiting for housekeeping, it was not until 5pm that they even made it to our room and then only made one bed and left. REALLY? I overheard several guests complaining that rooms had not been touched all day. After a full day of skiing all you want to do is return to a clean room and get ready for the evening. That did not happen for most of the guests on our floor in Bldg 1. It was not even worth staying our final night, coming from the Denver area, we left with tired cranky hungry kids. We decided we were done "waiting". Even a little attention to detail would have helped make the experience a little bit better.

Ski Heaven

It was a pleasant experience. The hotel is located right at the bottom of a lift, so it is ski in/out. Perfect! The bars were nice, as well as the gift/cafe. The room could have been cleaner, but the staff was very nice.

Convenient and nice for skiers

Nice place with everything you need right on the premises. The market was a convenient place to get some breakfast foods and snacks for the room without having to get out or pay exorbitant restaurant prices for every meal. Compimentary wi-fi, shuttle, and ski storage were also great bonuses.

On mountain accomodation

We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 level unit. The kitchen, dining, and tv area on the first floor. The 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are on the 2nd floor. Our unit was located in building 1. Our room had a sparsely equipped kitchen area that was enough for breakfast preparation. The resort has dated furnishings and décor. Each unit is individually owner and has the owner’s touches. This resort is ski-in ski-out with immediate access to the mountain and Peak 9. Building 1 is the most distant of the buildings and we found walking across the street to the mountain more convenient than taking the sky walk bridge. This location offers on site dining, market, and complimentary shuttle to Main Street. However, the walk to Main Street is short even after a long day of skiing. The indoor/outdoor pool and hot tubs were great after skiing. I would recommend this property for avid skiers who would like the convenience of being on the mountain. If you are looking for modern accommodations, choose elsewhere.

Bring Your Earplugs!

A very loud, outdated hotel in serious need of an upgrade. The sounds from surrounding levels and other rooms echo through the building. Requests to staff to address loud guests after 11 p.m. were all but disregarded. If you want nothing more than a place to sleep from 12 a.m. until 6:30 a.m. after skiing, this is the place to stay. If you want something more, go elsewhere.

Amazing location and convenience

We traveled 2 adults and 2 kids 6 and 10 years old. This hotel is pretty old and very large, but well kept. We were positively surprised by the size and comfort of the rooms (bedroom suite with fire place and kitchenette) and the many convenient aspects of living here; right at Peak 9 lift, ski locker room ski-in-out, ok restaurant Spencer, nice Deli for late night snacks, nice heated pool, several jacuzzis, arcade room, indoor parking, etc. Highly recommended for families with small kids; many green runs and a good number of blacks and double diamond blacks. For some reason they did not clean our room before the last night of our 5-day stay, but as compensation we got the parking for free (USD 10 per night) without asking for anything so we thought that was a nice gesture.

Perfect ski in/ski out location

Rooms are a bit small and crowded, tiny kitchen and bathroom but the location and the pool compensate for these short-comings.

Great Location

It's not the fanciest hotel out there, but it's worth the price. It's a few hundred yards away from the beaver chair lift. The resort also offers a shuttle service that gets you around town, which is nice if you don't have a car or are too lazy to drive. Watch out for longer stay discounts!
