The Bugs have it!
We've been staying here once a month for the last 7 months while I receive medical treatment. We've never had a compliant until last Thursday night. There seemed to be bugs everywhere. I know this is the time of year when bugs come inside but this was really too much. We will be looking for another place to stay next month.

Needs air conditioning that works
The hotel did not have sufficient air conditioning to cool the room. Our first room on the 4th floor was very warm as were the halls. It was evident the ac was not getting up there. We complained and were moved to the 2nd floor. The ac was barely able to cool the 2nd floor room and the ac unit made noise. It appeared that the ac and heating units were the same ones installed when the hotel was built in 1968. My husband and I are on our vacation, we loved the town of Boulder, CO and the hotel was clean and otherwise acceptable. Staff was accommodating and the included breakfast was okay.

Nice place
Quaint hotel. Warm wood interiors. Friendly staff. Carpeting in the hallway was a bit threadbare, but my room was perfect. Good place.

Long walk from hotel
I enjoyed all the walking I did during my stay, particularly to and from the Pearl Street Promenade, via the Boulder Creek Path, which I picked up every morning where it intersects 28th Street and then followed up as far as Broadway or Settlers' Park, just beyond town, where the wilderness starts. There are benches and picnic tables and bridges, all along the creek, and all were great places to sit and read in the shade and watch the swimmers and rafters, kayakers bike riders go by. The Boulder Public Library straddles the creek too and is beautiful. I had a serene and active five days in Boulder and fell in love with the place.

NO HOT WATER!
Wish I had read the reviews before booking! Seems like not having hot water has been an issue for years. The customer service was HORRIBLE! The woman made us feel like it was our fault they had no hot water. She was so rude and dismissive. Such a shame because Boulder is a great place. I would never recommend for anyone to stay here.

Cheap and it shows
The shower was lukewarm during my whole stay, despite calling the front desk. They said they would have maintenance fix it but that never happened. The whole place has a tarnish of neglect. Very dated rooms. It really is dingy. I was placed in a room directly across from the laundry, and the very loud cleaning staff woke me up early in the morning and kept me awake. But I couldn't call the front desk about it because the telephone was broken. Despite all this the staff was friendly, which is the only commendation I can offer. Unless you need bargain basent, and are OK with why I've described, I recommend paying te extra $20 to stay somewhere less run down.

Cnot far from pearl street it took us only about ten minutes to get to it. Rooms not big, but very affordable. No microwaves or fridge. Basic but it does the trick. Clean beds and bathrooms.

good enough
It was fine, especially for the price. A little worn around the corners and dark in the room, but friendly staff and great location.
