Nice but...the murphy bed has to go.
Its a clean hotel and has great service. We checked-in super late and all regular rooms were taken. The one let down was that we got a room with a murphy bed (the kind that pulls down from a closet-like thing) and those are seldom comfortable. Thats the only semi-complaint. We didn't get good rest because it was not the standard bed we're used to getting at a Marriott. In hind sight, we should have requested a new room the next day. Otherwise, Marriott is consistent where its important - rooms, service, cleanlines, wherever we stay its great. Just stay away from murphy beds.

Village Coffee Shop around the corner. Its a very small neighborhood joint with speedy and stellar service. Simple, diner-like menu and by far (we think) the most fun breakfast place in the neighborhood.

Fantastic location for the prices
I was visiting my nephew who goes to CU! My sister recommended the hotel as well as the concierge room! Well, I loved it! I thought the room was extremely comfortable! I was by myself so I had a king size bed which was extremely comfortable. Since I had the concierge room, you go up to the 5th floor and they have snacks and drinks anytime you want to grab. Also, they have breakfast from Monday-Friday from 6-9 and appetizers on Sunday-thursday from 5-7:30! It's great! More importantly, the staff was fantasti, willing to help at anytime! They are very knowledgeable! I thought the bar staff was really outstanding as well! Perfect location! Easy to get around the lovely town!

The Best Stay We Have Ever Had!
We stayed on the concierge level(worth every extra dollar you have to spend!!), (They call it a deluxe room more like deluxe suite!, 1 king, mini-fridge, 338sqft 30sqm, living sitting area, wired internet for a fee) top floor in the SW corner. The room was huge and 2 out of 4 walls were windows. We had beautiful views of the foothills and mountains! Everyone was Extremely helpful and polite even the cab driver! In our room we had to pay for internet access but in the concierge lounge it was free. We had a few mechanical problems with the room but the staff expedited repairs the first day! We like to have drinks and snacks in our room and the concierge lounge provided our every wim or want so we didn't have to use any vending machines! Parking for a fee is below the hotel out of the weather, it was nice being able to park close to the elevator that took us to our room. Because we are from Rochester, NY the air was too thin for us to do much running around other than the planned wedding events that we were invited to for my nephews wedding. The 1st night we went to the Pub on Arapahoe St. for the rehersal dinner, 2nd day a outdoor amphitheater in the mountains above Boulder for the wedding, 2nd night the Boulderado for the reception, 3rd day my brothers new home on a golf course about 35 miles East of Boulder, 4th day we went gambling at Blackhawk, 5th day we went home. This hotel was the BEST part of my stay!

In Hotel
Go for the concierge's level if it is available. Weekdays they offer a contenental breakfast. Then on any evening they have deserts and fruits and drinks and etc. etc. etc. There is a cooler that is always stocked with water and soda!

tired
I usually stay at Marriott brand hotels because they guarantee you get a nice smoke-free room. The sheets don't smell like cigarettes and they don't spray stinky air freshener to cover up stale smoke in the room. This hotel met those requirements. I was disappointed in the overall decor of the hotel -- it felt "tired". It didn't live up to the Marriott brand image. The room should be about $100 a night maximum. Service is very friendly and accomodating.

Four Days at Boulder Marriott
Requested room type was not accommodated. Had one king and the couch instead of the requested two queens. Didn't add to a four day business trip. Spa water also looked nasty. Didn't even get in.

OK
When we checked in, they said they could only give us a room with a bed and a fold out couch (that was small) because we made our reservations on ORBITZ - even though we had reserved a room with two beds. With a lot of arguing, they switched us to a room with two beds. The guy said "this is why you shouldn't make reservations online, it's not a guarantee". They also had us checking out a day early- our reservation number. The staff here are unpleasant.

Very Nice Hotel
The staff were very nice and extremely professional. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. The hotel is is in a great location next to nice shops, restaurants and an excellent health food store. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was clean. The fitness center was too small and cramped w/only 3 people working out, so plan to exercise in the beautiful outdoors--as scenic walking/running/hiking trails are very close by. Minor thing---a robe would have been nice in the room and there was only a garbage can in the bathroom. Minor issues--overall a great hotel.

Short walk from hotel
Boulder is very scenic and beautiful. There are many walking hiking and biking trails nearby---take advantage of them. Boulder creek path is especially nice for a walk into town.
