Personal trip to Boulder

The hotel was OK. Nothing special but not bad. The first night, the heater was very noisy, but maintenance fixed it. The people were pretty nice. Breakfast was OK, nothing special.

Great location, great staff

This hotel was perfectly located near all amenities, and the university. The price was affordable and the breakfast was very good. The room felt a little cramped. The staff however were outstanding and very outgoing and friendly. Although it's not very fancy, it's a solidly nice hotel.

Best Western Boulder Inn

We traveled almost 1,000 miles in seven days, all over to Rocky Mtn. National Park, Pike's Peak, Denver City tour, Celestial Seasonings Factory Tour just to name a few. We also went to Black Hawk where there are 8 casinos built into the side of a mountain. [...]

Better than expected

This hotel is nowhere near the University (or downtown), and is in fact very hard to find. The street address sent me and my GPS to a spot several blocks down the road. Turns out the hotel is in fact back on the access road several blocks. You could easily miss it. And then the entrance nearest to the sign doesn't go to the lobby. I had to park and walk around the front of the building to the lobby. Outdated furnishings (box TV...no movie channels, but tons of cable) but bathroom was somewhat updated. Unexpected amenities: slippers. And brkfst was good: fruit and scrambled eggs and pastries not in a bag. Not well-soundproofed: you can hear highway traffic, and forget sleeping thru garbage pick-up. But you can leave fan in bathroom on. Remote control for TV didn't didn't always work to turn TV on (but channel changer part always worked). Lots of pillows.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Nothing around the hotel as far as dining, except for a few chains. Go into the downtown area. We found a new=ish "tequila bar" called Tahona with REALLY great food. (The new tequila craze is still lost on me, though. Their homemade fruit-infused tequilas still taste like tequila to me!)

Nice, but nothing special

This hotel is in a very tricky location and not much to look at from the outside. The rooms were very nice and clean, though, and that's what counts. I felt the price for the room was VERY high for what you get, but I am just assuming this is Boulder prices. The beds were very comfy and we all slept really well.
