We needed to make last minute reservations over 4th of July weekend, and were lucky enough to find Elkhorn Lodge. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo/3 bathroom, which was perfect for our family of four. Nicely appointed, a great covered deck, and lots
of trees so you really feel like you are in Colorado (as opposed to hotels where rooms look out on plazas). Our room had a king bed, and we had our choice of a queen or two twins for the other room. Two twins was perfect with our kids. There is a parking garage, but as long as you are traveling within Beaver Creek you can use the free shuttle (which is what we did often). Staff were very friendly and helpful as well. I put a 3 for amenities, but that's simply because it doesn't have a pool (which very few places do in Beaver Creek). We got a great rate - it was a very nice place, for a very good price. I would have expected to pay 30-40% more for a hotel of this quality.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short drive from hotel
Use the free shuttle when traveling within Beaver Creek. While they may quote 15-20 minutes for a pick-up, they were usually to us in 5 minutes and we did not have to deal with parking.
