sorry wont stay there again

Housekeeping not good all four nights... someone, and I think it was the cleaning staff left with my nose spray. I checked with decks and they could have cared less.. Sorry wont stay there again. It is as shame it has deteriated that much since Crystal Inn was the owner.

Great location and value

I checked into my first hotel closer to downtown Denver and I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I found Ambassador Hotel and Suites and drove there as fast as I could. The location of Ambassador is great. It's 8 or so miles from the airport and relatively close to downtown Denver. The price was good too. The amenities, room quality, and other aspects are pretty standard but I wasn't looking for a boutique or 5-star hotel. Staff was friendly and attentive. The only complaint I have was that it got noisy, at times, due to surrounding guests.

Newer owners; no upkeep!

The hotel name changed from Crystal Inn to The Ambassador. The new owners were able to spring for one new sign but couldn't afford to change the other signs or keep up on maintenance. Towels and bedspreads were stained (GROSS!) and the built-up scum in the exposed shower drain were all disturbing. After the drain started to back up while I showered, the whole thing became too much. One night was one night too many in this place! One side note, if there could've been one saving grace, it would have been the wonderful hostesses at the continental breakfast. Breakfast itself wasn't great, but good enough. However, the courtesy of the hostesses left my wife and I with the feeling that the new owners hadn't squandered away all of the positive aspects...

dump with problems

Place is getting run down, would have been ok but fire alarm went off at 3 am, had to spend half an hour in lobby and outside in a snow storm, not even an apology at check out on the terrible inconvenience. Overheard staff say they had had a similar problem a short time ealier. A good hotel would have done something for its patrons. Really a bad experience.

The rooms are simple but clean; the staff were very nice. For a reasonably inexpensive place near DIA, it was fine.
