Secluded and private relaxation in Aspen
The tranquility of a neighborhood and the luxury of Aspen make the Gant – Destination Hotels and Resorts a unique destination. It is just blocks from the culture, dining and skiing that Aspen offers but tucked into a quiet neighborhood. The common areas underwent an extensive restoration in 2007 that included new landscaping, refurbished meeting and lobby spaces and refinished pools.

A MUST for an Aspen stay!

The Gant offers great location - only about five blocks from the gondola and the core of Aspen. The staff is warm and welcoming and totally service-oriented and determined to do everything to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The units are well-equipped with coffee and all the in-room amenities (toiletries, etc) you need and have balconies to sit on and soak in the crisp mountain air. In all, a perfect place to stay!

Nice place but unplug the phone...

We've stayed at the Gant before. Excellent room, nice pool, fantastic setting. The only grip (again) is the annoying inquiry from the front desk about when you are leaving. The hotel management will write a well worded rebuttal after my review explaining that it is policy to call at night, first thing in the morning, at 9:30, and then send housekeeping at 9:45 to knock on the door. By the number of complaints they receive about this it is clear that they don't understand that their policy takes away from the class that this resort could have. Policy is no excuse for experience and they miss the mark on experience because of their 1 star pay by the hour motel policy, Bottom line; Unplug your room phone and be prepared for the maid to knock on the door even when there is a "do not disturb" sign on it….

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

If you plan to visit between October and November, The town is very quiet with many shops and restaurants closed during their "Off Season". After Thanksgiving ski season opens and the town springs back to life. Fly fishing is incredible this time of year.

Best area of town

The location is up near the mountain, just blocks to town, but far enough away to be peaceful and away from traffic. You can walk everywhere, a large grocery & liquor store are just 4 blocks away. Leave your car at home, if you are too tired to walk The Gant will shuttle you in to town in one of their vans - the Aspen town bus will get you anywhere, and free to other towns like Snowmass, Maroon Bells area. There is so much to do, you will have a hard time budgeting your time, and the concierge is so helpful. The front desk staff is so completely friendly and efficient !

Perfect spot in nature

No complaints, impeccable room, friendly service always, staff willing to do anything asked, even to execute unusual tasks. Cannot imagine a more ideal spot in Aspen. While more than I regularly pay for a hotel, it was worth its weight in gold. During these challenging economic times, that is a big statement from me. I would return to the Gant and recommend it without reservation. It is as close as one can get to the mountains without camping in them, and for a city girl that is a huge plus.

Proximity of mountain trails is walking distance. Maroon Bells, the most photographed site in this country, is a 20 minute drive and walk. Nature does not get much more glorious.

When someone in Aspen tells you it is "off-season" they mean everything shuts down. Thank God for the Redheaded Tours that was a great tour of the mountains and open year round.
