Sister Get Away
Perfect location to shopping and resturants. This is a family owned hotel that Ralph the owner built in 1953. The homey atmosphere is as if you are in the comfort of your own home. We stayed in room 204 which is one of the original 3 rooms built with the original dresser and desk ( furniture is not made like that anymore). The breakfast is made fresh for each person ( included in the price of the room) there is a machine that you put the oranges in and it gives you fresh orange juice. My sister and I had the pleasure to meet Ralph while having breakfast. There is a living room with a fire place where you can play board games, There is a sauna, pool ,hot tub and gym. This is not a fancy high end hotel it is a home away from home.

A good buy in the center of town
Stayeed two nights. The first night was in a second floor corner room that proved to be very noisy making sleep difficult. Moved to a third floor room in the back whiick was excellent. Great breakfast. Super location with free parking. Pleasant, helpful staff.

Bike race stay
We stayed ar the Chalet for the Aspen legs of the Colorado Pro Cycling Bicycle Race. The Location was perfect. And for sightsreeing, the local bus transit to Maroon Bells was across the street. Chalet is across the street from plenty of restaurant and visitor stuff in central Aspen. But the specially prepared breakfasts ( included) were the best we've had anywhere. The staff was great. Underground parking included. If we go back to Aspen, this is our spot. Stay here.

A Special Retreat
Mountain Chalet was a wonderful place to stay, right in the center of Aspen. It was very peaceful and quiet, guests were friendly at breakfast and afternoon tea, but other times I wondered if I was the only one there. Beautiful accommodations, true it was old, but quite modern enough and the patina of its long existence was comforting. Many return guests as well as me, a first timer. I long to return again next summer. Detailed information about the music concerts available. Near to a variety of dining experiences. Walking distance to trails and ski lifts.

Presidents Weekend
Fantastic staff, free breakfast, great location to the slopes/downtown...the room was a little dated, could use some renovating, walls are paper thin. But a great value for the President's Weekend. It's all about location at the end of a ski day when you're carrying your equipment back to the hotel.

Best place to stay in Aspen
It's right in the middle of town, good breakfast, indoor hot tub, and helpful staff. You really can't do any better in Aspen.

Killer Location in Aspen
I couldn't have asked for a better location. The pool is really terrific. The continental breakfast (plus hard boiled eggs, bacon & sausages) was very tasty, and the kitchen staff was very pleasant. The staff was wonderfully accommodating. I had paid for the cheapest room and got one in the basement. It was a bit dark, had an English basement window that looked right out onto the street and had a weak wi-fi signal. I asked if I could switch to another room, and the very next day, they put me in a fantastic room on the third floor at no extra charge.

Not a place I would recommend or stay at
Hotel may at one time be a place to stay, but no longer. Run down, very noisy, no air conditioning. Location is good but that is all I can say in favor of it.
