Christmas family ski vacation

The staff at the limelight was very friendly, helpful and accommodating to us and our young children. We loved the location that was walking distance to Ajax mountain and a quick shuttle or bus ride to the other surrounding slopes. We would definitely return!

Outstanding ski destination

The rooms are huge, well appointed with kitchens and high-end in-room amenities. The breakfast is included and is delicious and generous. The bar staff are terrifically helpful and the evening pizza menu is delicious and available in cozy, warm surroundings. The check-in staff was not quite as helpful as others nor as knowledgeable about area events as we expected, but the hotel was glorious and we would definitely return! Don't miss it!

Excellent family value

the Limelight was great. Friendly and very helpful staff--hats off to Christian at the front desk. Breakfast buffet was good, although some hot offerings would be nice. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Nice Find!!!

Great location and great facility. By far the nicest "affordable" hotel we have found in Aspen! Plus, it's just a three minute walk from our favorite restaurant, Matsuhisa!

Great Location!

We loved Aspen! We love to travel & do so often, however tend to gravitate to beaches, rather than ski slopes. Having not skied in 14+ years I was VERY nervous that this trip would not be fun - and we would have wished we'd gone to warmer climate. But we had a BLAST - loved skiing, loved Aspen, loved the loaction of our hotel, and absolutely wished we had stayed a couple days longer. The hotel's location was fantastic - 2 blocks from all the great restaurants, close to bus stops, and across the park from all the shopping. The rooms were great (clean, cute, etc), as was the hot tub, but the lobby & bar area was a tad disappointing. The pictures make it look much more like a "scene" than it really is.. and it didn't really deliver on the "lodge" experience, or contemporary feel, or luxury feel.. it was just sort of a plain big room. That was our ONLY complaint though - so for the price, and given the location - it's a great place to stay. Regarding skiing - I suggest Snowmass, they really had something for everyone - as beginner/moderate skiiers we had a blast (even a lot of options for begininers who stay away from blue and blacks). It's about a 20 minute bus ride - but the bus is convenient and free.

Ute City - yum! - great dinner spot. And Victorias espresso and wine bar for a mid-day snack. Little Nell for breakfast & hot chocolate (you won't be disappointed). Hyatt residence's Grape bar for wine & cheese "Apres Ski". 8K at the Viceroy (at Snowmass) for a relaxing, wonderful, classy lunch break during a day of skiing.
