Wanted something close to center of town. This was perfect. A block away and not in the "traffic zone" with lots of noise etc.
Room was quite small but comfortable and nice amenities.
Intimate breakfast room with eggs cooked to order. Plus your
normal continental fare of assortments. Wine and cheese in the afternoon and to my surprise very nice quality. All in all a nice cozy and welcoming place to stay.
Staff was fantastic and accommodating. They made great recommendations for dining. Room was clean and decently maintained if not a little cramped. My main complaint is if you're staying there in the summer be aware of the heat. No AC + small
room without a lot of circulation = rather unpleasant sleep. The little amenities like a good breakfast & wine and cheese reception weren't enough to save this place from a two star review.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Long walk from hotel
Really not a long walk, but not so short either. Ajax Tavern at the Little Nell has fantastic food & service at a decent price. Plus they have a patio with a fantastic view. One of the best values for $$$ in Aspen.
