Great location, like camping but less effort

Would recommend Fri, Sep 23, 2011
When I arrived at Housekeeping Camp the staff were really friendly and helpful. I rented a 'bed pack' for $2.50, which had nice clean sheets, pillows and warm blankets. The hut/tent thing was basic but had a power outlet, a dining table outside and a campfire, as well as the obligatory bear proof smellables locker. You get the feeling of sleeping in the outdoors but the comfort of proper bed, which i really liked. Some people will find it too basic but Yosemite for me is about being outdoors and when I got back from a 3 day camping expedition Housekeeping Camp with it's nice hot showers and laundry facilities seemed like a luxury resort! Overall I really liked it. If you want wireless internet (free) and some places to eat then Curry Village is a short walk away. Recommended.

camping in the valley

Would recommend Fri, Jun 10, 2011
For $99 a night we got a large tent with 3 solid walls and a canvis roof and front door. The front area was enclosed with a privacy fence and included a picnic table and work bench for meals. The biggest advantage is electricity. Bring a coffee maker, bring a electric heater, or what ever. It is giving you the space to camp in the valley, next to the river. And you can rent a camp stove, buy food, even go to a swimming pool or rent bikes, everything is available. Enjoy!

lot of money for nothing

in this time the risk of could nights are too big: you better give advice not to hire in this camp: set of blankets not suitale for cold nights and tent must be supported with heating stove (we saw similar tents which were better equipped)

A Bid Tent, That's all

Would recommend Tue, May 27, 2008
It is just a big tent with two beds and electricity. Actually, it is even coller than my small tent since it is too big and the door can not be closed tightly. It is really cold to live there in late May. May be a nice place in July. It is fun to have a camp fire outside the room though. Check in take me more than 30 min.

Close to mirror lake with a short drive.
