Extended Stay America - Los Angeles - Woodland Hills

Negatives: - The beds here are rock hard. Only a step better than sleeping on the floor. - The hallways and especially your room smell like cigarettes, fried food, and on the weekends and mornings, marijuana - even on non-smoking floors. Close your eyes and you can imagine that you're at a truckstop diner. - There is no cleaning service / maids unless you stay longer than a week. You will need to go get your own towels, strip your own linens and haul them downstairs, and remake beds yourself. - While I was there, the hot water heater was out for a day, the elevator was broken for a day. Positives: - The staff is unusually cheerful and friendly. - The area is nice, safe, and a fairly good location. - There is a (noisy) fridge in the room, a coffeemaker, a counter and a two burner cookstove. You can cook in your room.

It was not bad , but sure they can do better ... Price wasn't expensive since I got discount so I saved a few bucks there ...

Was called about reservation confirmation and day time employee was extremely rude and didn't listen to what I was saying. Spent more time lecturing me like a child instead of hearing my concerns.

Was there for a few nights last week and the one before.

The people who work there are very nice, but this place is a dump. It's smelled and looked nasty. They gave us a smoking room, when we asked for non-smoking. It was near our destination, which is why we chose it. Find another option, unless you really need a place with a kitchen. It does have that.

The hotel was comfortable and had a friendly staff. Very roomy and a great location. I would stay there again!!!

It was a great location bur always over booked. I would visit again

Beds and bedding were shabby. the underling of the bed was hang down beneath the bed. the carpet was stained. Botn lounge chairs were unusafe. They were clearly broken and shoved into the corner. We chose this room as a so-called upgrade from the previous $79 room. We chose the $98room. Apparently they are all the same. Forget the desk staff if you made reservations throug [...].

Girls at the front were very nice and efficient. Bed was worn and extremely squeaky not to mention uncomfortable. Definetly not for couples as the noise is loud enough to wake your partner with the slightest move. Bathroom and kitchen were nice and clean. Television is a relic. Facing a major blvd so traffic noise was quite loud and could be from thin windows. Manager in the morning was unsympathetic, avoidant, and borderline rude. Said that he would have switched our room but the front office was closed in the evening by the time we went to bed. Answered back to that by telling us that the laundry person or security could have helped... Who would think that? Ended by him saying callously thank you for staying with us :)

There was a blood stain on the sheets. We called to the main desk and they sent up new sheets. But they handed us the new sheets to change ourselves. They told us to leave the old sheets outside the room and they would come get them later
