Bathroom floor dirty.
Breakfast was poor. Instead of having individual containers for peanut butter, creame cheese, etc. It was one large container that all guests were to use. Bread was still in the bag for us all to reach into. Poor
breakfast. We had to go out. We just wanted a place to sleep on our two day drive that provided a breakfast in the morning.
Very cute town, but hotel not so great. It looked nice compared to the one we just came from in Chula Vista. Pool small, not deep, no filter running which made us think it didn't get tended to often. Even though the hotel had just a couple of
guests, they still put us and our parents on opposite sides of the hotel, having to use two flights of stairs to get to each other. We had even reserved our rooms weeks in advance together. Also, when anoter family checked in, they put the them right next to us. They didn't think to give the familes to have a couple of rooms between them for privacy or quiet. Later that evening found a dead cockroach on the floor, needless to say not a restful nights sleep. The staff seemed to not understand our needs for rooms together or adjoining, maybe because he did not speak very good english??
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
lots of fast food choices, and a couple of restaurants, such as Denny's and similar.
The Days Inn was convenient to I-5 and close to a few good restaurants. The bathrooms appear to have been renovated recently, as the shower was in very good shape. We were a little disappointed that the bathroom was not 100% clean. The rest of
the room was basic but comfortable. It was a reasonable room for the rate.

Black Bear Diner, just a short way down the road, is a fabulous place to get breakfast or any meal. Very nice chain with several locations around northern California.
