A perfect travel Gem!
I Love staying at the Whittier Vagabond. You can not beat the quality you recieve for the reasonable price you pay. It is situated in a wonderful location close to fastfood, good restaurants and shopping. I use this location for business travel and family visits. The staff is professional and a pleasure to work with, even when you are checking in late they welcome you with a smile! The rooms are well decorated and always clean. Forgot to mention they have a perfect continental breakfast, cereal, pastries, fruit and coffee, included for the price of the room. Who needs to run to Starbucks when you can make coffee in your room which also has a fridge and microwave! If you are a frequent traveler to the area like my husband and I are, you can not beat the 10th night free program. It is amazing how quickly you can earn that 10th night and at such a reasonable cost. I hope others can find out about this gem!

Short drive from hotel
If you need more than a continetal breakfast make a right on Whittier Blvd, past Painter Ave. to Jack's Whittier Restaurant, love this place or make a left on Whittier Blvd 3 city blocks to Norm's Restaurant open 24/7. For a great Italian dinner I would recommend De Luca's Ristorante Between Valley Home Ave/W Whittier Blvd and Pounds Ave, try the eggplant parmegian, just the best!

GREAT LOCATION FOR SHOPPING AND DINING
THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN AND THE PEOPLE WORKING THE FRONT DESK WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. WHEN I RETURN I WILL BE SURE TO STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN. ALSO THE PRICE FOR THE ROOM WAS VERY REASONALBLE.

It's Comfortable Stay.
I spent 8 nights at this hotel and it was very comfotable. My "two bed room" room was clean and linen supplys were very good though bed was too soft to me. The only thing I recommend to this hotel is Improve the quality of Complimentary Breakfast. This improvement gonna this hotel more better, I think. Anyway, I would stay this hotel again.

efficient and curteous
bed was a little hard. the breakfast was the most minimal. nowhere to sit. no juice. but for the price in southern california, we were very satisfied. free nice maps of area in room.

It wa fine...
The room was fine and nicely sized. The bathroom was very bright and clean. The room itself, however was not very clean. The walls had greasy hand prints on them. There were also what looked to be blood stains on the base boards.

staff are nice & friendly
Housekeeping is good but the airconditioning unit is very loud even it's on silent.

A So-So motel
The clerk kept us waiting while she tried to figure out what room to put us in. The motel is very obviously old and rather run down. The room was small but OK. It did have a microwave and small 'fridge. The bed was hard but comfortable.
