Inviting business resort with landscaped lawns and heated pool
Hyatt Westlake Plaza is a large-scale hotel and conference center featuring inviting outdoor spaces for sunning and swimming. Natural light and elegant architectural details like wrought iron, indoor fountains and oversize umbrellas are inspired by southern California Spanish heritage. Eight golf courses are within a 30-minute drive. The Hyatt is easy to find off Hwy. 101, and minutes from Malibu beaches and the Santa Monica Mountains.

Nice and clean
The hotel was nice and clean. It was relatively empty at this post-Christmas time. We had a drink in the bar with friends one night which was pleasant but overpriced. We worked out in the "gym" every day which was also fine but small and, as with other hotels, one has to parade throught the lobby and past restaurants in order to reach the outer facitilites, which is just unpleasant. We had problems with our key over and over which was a hassle. For our purposes of attending a basketball tournament right down the street, the hotel was fine. Location-wise, it had quite a few options for dining within a 1-10 mile radius.

There's a shopping center immediately on the other side of the freeway, but there is even more (better) driving down Thousand Oaks Blvd.

A very beautiful hotel. But, I would recommend requesting a room facing away from the freeway due to freeway noise.

Wow!!! but with one HUGE negative
this hotel is gorgeous - we booked for three days and needed to stay a fourth due to a flight my fiance had to leave on late at night- we asked for the same rate as the previous three days and they refused- the new rate was doubled!!! and for us to stay a "half-day" which is until 6PM (while check-in is at 4) is insulting and ridiculous- especially in this economy- they are lucky to have ANY business and should have charged us the rate of the previous three nights- they refused to negotiate or discuss and were NOT HELPFUL AT ALL- this hotel is beautiful in every way but this, however, this is a huge thing and I will probably never return due to their non-ability to show good faith and appreciation for my well earned money and business.

Hyatt Westlake Plaza
Staff that worked at the hotel was excellent. Very quiet location if you wanted to get some rest. Short walking distance to a small shopping center and other places to eat at. Very good location.

Westlake Hyatt Easter

Nice Stay in Westlake Village
Very nice property. Spa could have been warmer but it was very relaxing. Our car's battery died in the parking lot. We sure wish somebody on the hotel's staff could have given us a jump, but they just offered to call AAA if we were a member.
