Just ordinary, if that
Stayed here for one night, staff was decent - but not very warm; stale feeling. Room was clean, but not very comfortable - bed was not great, i got take-out and had no place to eat. Great location and a clean room, but nothing special. View was horrible; got put it a room with a view of the parking garage, nothing else. Wifi is free - but horrendously slow and spotty at best.

Excellent Location, Room/Hotel Issues
The location on Santa Monica Blvd couldn't get any better. However, the hotel has minimum amenities- small gym, limited laundry facilities. The pool area was nice. And the room was an issue. The shower drain was slow and although the manager sent maintenace up right away, this man insisted that the drain was "normal" and refused to solve the problem. So, is it "normal" to be showering with water almost up to your ankles? Not in my world! And then the bed sloped like it had been slept on for 20 years in the same spot without flipping. No matter where you were on the bed, you rolled into the "ditch". Management was informed of the issue and nothing was done. So, other than a fabulous location, don't expect much from this hotel.

Time-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
1. Stop at Trader Joe's and pick up what you need for snacks, breakfast, etc. The hotel has a refrigerator. This saves $$$. 2. The Metro Buses go everywhere for $1.50 one way!!

The facade can be deceiving
At first when I arrive I was kind of shock mainly for outside look paint wise in any case! But once you walk into the lobby then you get a completely different feel it is cozy and welcoming. Then you get into your room and then things just keep getting better and better. Beds are comfy and luscious......... I definitely would recommended ,..

Nice hotel for the price
We stayed here for three nights in April. The room was very comfortable although the bathroom was a bit small and dated. The bed was firm and there were big fluffy pillows. The location couldn't be beat. We could walk to plenty of restaurants. Paying $27.00 per day for parking was a bit rough, but hey, it's LA after all. You could hear the people on the floor above walking around which was a bit annoying but not terrible. Also there was a car in the lot that had its alarm triggered in the middle of the night three times which woke up the entire hotel... But you can't blame the hotel for that. We did see people checking it out the next day. I'd stay here again.

Met Expectations
The parking was tight like most hotels in a downtown area. THe room was smaller than I thought it would be. It was clean and the desk staff was helpful.

Perfect location
This is great place to stay if you want to be walking distance to the the gay bars and clubs. This is my second time staying at this location. You can pass through 90% of the popular gay bars from here to The Abbey. How can you beat that? There is a Starbucks located right next door! The room was clean and comfortable.

It was clean and good for what I needed. The bed was comfortable and the price was right. Not a palace but I didn't expect it to be one. The staff was very courteous and pleasant.
