So much more than just a place to stay for the night, Mondrian transforms staying at a hotel into a fun exciting and adventurous experience that lifts the spirits and touches the senses. Visionary designer Benjamin Noriega Ortiz has rejuvenated Mondrian, the quintessential California hotel, offering glamour and fantasy in a casual and relaxed environment. The hotel's 237 rooms and suites feature floor to ceiling windows with stunning views of Sunset Boulevard and downtown Los Angeles. Additional amenities include Silestone tiled bathrooms with waterfall shower fixtures, a state-of-the-art HDTV is hidden in full-length custom designed mirrors, oversized daybeds, sustainable bamboo floors and Korres natural products bath amenities are just a few of the little luxuries awaiting guests of Mondrian. Mondrian is a sophisticated modern urban resort located in the heart of the entertainment capital of the world on top of the famed Sunset Strip. Mondrian's location is the ideal hub to access numerous area attractions such as Sunset Plaza, The Beverly Center, Melrose and Santa Monica Boulevards, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Mann's Chinese Theater, Kodak Theater, Getty Center, UCLA and world class shopping on renowned Rodeo Drive. SkyBar, the ultimate LA lounge, is the place to enjoy a cocktail and dance the night away. Intimate seating areas provide a special place to spend an evening with the glistening skyline as a backdrop. LA's trendsetters create a virtual playground for the jetset. With its innovative fusion menu and hot Latin beat, Asia de Cuba at Mondrian by international restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow, remains one of Los Angeles'; hottest restaurants. Diners may choose to be served either indoors with its chic white-on-white interior, or on the sensuous patio which includes a stunning trellis area comprised of enormously over-scaled terra cotta pots planted with ficus trees and flowering bougainvillea vines. Morgans Hotel Group Noriega Ortiz' veneration of the surrealist, looking-glass theme. Pivoting full-circle to reveal framed, flat-screen televisions on the opposite side, the mirrors are just one example of the close relationship between modern comforts and breathtaking design. Each of the hotel's 237 rooms and suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Sunset Boulevard and Downtown Los Angeles and Silestone tiled bathrooms with waterfall shower fixtures. Oversized daybeds, sustainable bamboo floors, and Korres Natural Products bathroom amenities are just a few of the little luxuries that have been exclusively designed with the pleasure of Mondrian's guests in mind. As with all Morgans Hotel Group properties, service is a paramount concern. Mondrian provides Flat Screen Televisions Television with full cable access, including HBO, MTV, VH1, CNN and SportsChannel; Video on Demand; Non Smoking Rooms; In-Room Entertainment Center, including iPod dock; State-of-the-Art Telecommunications System with Two Telephone Lines with Conference and Speaker capability; Fax Machine, Portable Telephone and Computer upon Request; Wireless High Speed Internet Access; Turn-Down Service; Newspapers of choice delivered to the door upon request; On-site Parking; 24-hour Room Service; and 24-hour Concierge.

Mondrian, LA

The hotel itself is beautiful. Looks great... BUT... the room was REALLY small..... Staff was nice and location was great... The only thing that didn't meet expectations was the fact that the room was a bit too small, and the lighting throughout the room (including bathroom...) was severely lacking...

Total LA Experience

Staff here was very friendly and welcoming. Did everything they could to make my stay better. The location was great taking into account that everything in LA is so spread out. Skybar is awesome for a night out with friends but the prices are a little high but the views from the pool make it worth it.

Fun, fun , fun

We enjoy our stay at Mondrian. They did a fine job remodeling it. It is very modern, hip and the view over the valley unbeatable. The Sky Bar was fun too, but the music never got to the point people dance. This made it be a little boring. The Asia de Cuba restaurant menu is worth every penny. The food is unbelievable. Be aware that the plates are quite big.

Nightlife tip: In Hotel

We were recommended the MyHouse night club at La Brea with Hollywood. Do not go there if you do not manage to get somehow on their silly VIP list. The promoters use a questionable criteria to select who goes in or not.
