beautiful hotel, non-snotty service, worth the price
Friends and I were in town for a GWAR concert across the street at the House of Blues. I knew we needed a place to drink and party afterwards, and I chose this hotel out of the three hotels on that block, due to the reviews and price. We're in our early 30s, not very flashy looking, but we do get really loud and obnoxious when we drink. For all of these reasons I was worried the hotel bar staff would be snotty to us, or wouldn't serve us due to the fact that we were all covered in fake blood from the concert. On the contrary, the staff were really nice, never told us to quiet down or refused to serve us drinks, and never came up to the room to yell at us when were being really loud and drunk afterwards. I'm also very impressed that we didn't get a complaint or extra service charge for getting fake blood all over the white linens in the room, because we were all covered in it. On a sensible note, I also thought the room itself was beautiful, and I liked that we had free in and outs on our one night valet charge. (this is not common in Hollywood). Great place; I'd definitely stay here again!

Short walk from hotel
If you are a guest at this hotel, you can get into the Foundations Room upstairs at the House of Blues for free, if you show the bouncer your hotel room key.

Nice Place
Nice hotel, close to everything. Arrived late at night and staff left much to be desired. Day time staff was great. $32.00 a day for valet parking is expensive in a $300 a night hotel.

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE
BEST customer services at Hotel Andaz. As soon as we pulled up to the valet we were greeted and helped at the front desk promptly. The room was very clean and the view was beautiful! I had a small discrepancy on my credit card once we left and it was fixed sooner than I could exhale. I've worked for The Hilton & The Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego and have NEVER been as satisfied as I was here. THANK YOU!

One of the best hotel experiences.
The hotel is in the best location, close to shopping (for any budget) and dining (from fast food to five star) with a spectacular view of downtown LA and Hollywood. The service was wonderful - from the lobby reception, to 24 hour room service to the rooftop pool service everyone was pleasant and couldn't do enough for us. They reserved a car for us for our day trip and had the car delivered to the hotel. The rooms were elegant and comfortable. The Andaz is one of the nicest hotels.

Pretty Solid stay
I reserved the room with the view and when I got there, they told me that the room was no longer available. I don't understand how they could mess up a simple reservation, but they did, and there is a significant difference between getting the front room to the back room, especially when sharing it with 3 other people, it got a little tight. Besides the room problem, the hotel was very lovely. It includes a rooftop pool, gym, and complimentary coffee and fruit every morning. The modern design of the hotel felt very clean and comfortable.

Great view of LA
Overall we had a great experience at Andaz. The location was excellent ! The walk of fame is less than 5min drive, Rodeo Dr. less than 10min and many more things well within a 10min drive. The hotel staff was nothing but friendly and very helpful. Upon check-in we were greeted by [...] who was very helpful and a offered a glass of wine. We stayed for 6 nights and had a amazing time, with great views from the King View room. Also, you must try the Peanut Butter ice cream in the restaurant, it is by far the best you will ever have. The only downfall, the parking is $32/night, valet only. While we understood it is LA we felt this was very high, especially when you factor in tipping the valet everytime you need your car. When asked upon checkout if they could help us out on the cost, we were told there was nothing they could do about it that it was an outside company they used. We are considering a return trip to LA in December and would like to return to Andaz but the high cost valet will certainly factor in the decision to possibly try another hotel.

"Excellent Service"
We were there to party for Halloween night. The staff was very nice and helpful. It was a very pleasant experience. But if you get a room, ask for a room facing the Sunset strip. Otherwise, you'll be stuck with a view of a mountain that's literally right behind the hotel.
