Spend Ventura days and nights in comfort and close to the beach

A large hotel equipped to handle events and conferences, Ventura Beach Marriott offers a modern location in the heart of one of an original California beach towns. Expect grounds kept to a four-star standard with a landscaped swimming pool and a fireside patio, where sunny afternoons give way to glowing sunsets. Just two blocks from the beach, guests can also drive to the pier and Main Street in minutes. Ventura Beach Marriott is also convenient to Hwy 101, putting guests half an hour away from Santa Barbara and an hour away from Los Angeles.

Horrible

I was not happy at all. Its the marriott! it should represent the name better. I could have stayed somewhere cheaper for all the things i got

Mediocre and overpriced

The room was basic and lacked both a microwave and a refrigerator. The TV system, especially for movies, was atrocious. The card keys were quite tempermental. Parking was extra ($10 per night; did they think folks were going to walk to the hotel?). Noise from the corridors was excessive. The room had no information about local restaurants or attractions, only about the hotel itself. There was no provision for leaving an evaluation - not surprising when you think about it.

Close to the beach and dog friendly!

We were in town (our home town!) for my sisters birthday party at Marina Park. It is so close that we could ride our bikes from the park to the hotel to use our gorgeous bathroom!!!! STOKE!! The park was so crowded that this was a super perk!The hotel was a little loud at night, doors slamming, and a few people in the halls, but it didn't keep us up. Bridget our bulldog was warmly welcomed and enjoyed cruising around the beautiful hotel. We've stayed at this spot since it was the Double tree back in the 80's... YIKES !!!! The location can't be beat, much better than the high rise at the pier that used to be the Holiday Inn.... I do wish they offered a free breakfast, but the in room coffee is fine and there is McDonald's close by.The room was SPOTLESS!!! The bedding was FABULOUS!! I didn't want to get out of bed. Our checkin process was smooth[...]I was very happy that it all went smoothly. Thank you [...] Marriot and most of all Thank you Ventura! We love you!

Wonderful hotel

We were traveling to a wedding and it was nice to have a quiet, clean and first class hotel to relax in. The bed was so comfortable and the room was spacious and quiet. Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful. Very Enjoyable!
