Visit with Family Good, Hotel not so Good!!!!!!
The smallest rooms I've ever seen. This place needs work, loud and noisey people and some kid even released the fire alarm after midnight, went off for about ten minutes. Won't stay there again.

Bad Mattress
I loved visiting Ventura, but I would not stay at the Motel 6 Ventura South the next time I go. I wanted to save a little money, but the mattresses were very cheap and they sagged badly. Also, the sink did not drain properly. Everything else was okay--the room was clean, the shower was in good shape, and the TV had a good selection of cable channels. The location was convenient to the highway, and only about 10 min from downtown Ventura by car. However, for me, the most important thing about a hotel room is the bed. The next time, I think I will spend a little more for a room that has a decent mattress!

Nice place for the price
Quite a decent value--polite and helpful staff, rooms reasonably clean, parking lot patrolled at night. Is right next to Ventura Freeway, but the immediate locale is respectable and it is not adjacent to any businesses. Pool and spa were nice, also.

nice enough rooms. no frills to say the least but if you just need a bed and a shower this is by far the best value. We we're presently surprised to find that kids under 17 stay free!!!!

Unhappy when checking in
To begin with, when we made the reservations we informed the clerk that my husband is an amputee. The hotel did not provide a luggage rack to use the elevator. We had to make several trips up and down the stairs loading our lugage. The elevator that was available was at the other end of our room. There was no kleenex available. The maid service came into our room without notifying us.
