Clean and well kept.
The things I rember most from my stay is that my room was very clean. The hotel seems to be well-maintained. The only one thing prevent me from giving it 5 star is that the air conditioner in the room is a little bit noisy.

Underwhelming
We were on our way home from a week wine tasting ujp in Cambria and surrounding areas. We were then headed to The Huntington Library in Pasadena, so this was a good place to stop for overnight. Our interactions with the front desk were adequate, but very quick, and no one made eye contact, nor were we welcomed. It seemed that they had better things to do. No one was rude, though, just like we weren't customers. Our room, unbeknownst to me when I reserved it, was a Handicapped room. I would not have stayed in this room, had I known, as the bathroom faciities don't "fit" me very well, as I am rather short. It felt like a hospital bathroom. The door to the room was exceptionally heavy! Even my husband, who works out three times a week, had trouble negotiating luggage through it and holding it at the same time. Is this just because it was on the first floor for safety or something? No breakfast was offered and each hotel we had stayed at during our travel had something to offer in the morning. This is a nice ammenity when you want to get on the road early in the morning and are in a strange city. There was only face soap, no bath soap, even though the little tray had labels for each item. Also, the body lotion was almost empty. This was kinda weird to me because another person had to be touching the bottle and then rubbing it on their body. It seemed cheap to me. I apologize for not being more positive, but I was really looking forward to our night there and it was pretty much a bust. Oh, also, my husband thought for such a large, resort type of hotel, the weight room was a waste as there was only cardio equipment. Sincerely, Cheryl Underwood

The worst service in living memory
I got the worst service I can recall in living memory at this hotel. Five potential charges (totaling $380) showed up in my bank account when my room had been provided free by a friend. The desk staff who assisted me not only blamed her colleague, but never explained exactly what these amounts of money were, or whether they would all be removed from my account. She then refused to accept responsibility or apologize on behalf of the hotel for their mistake. I then spoke to a manager, who merely repeated the same unhelpful information. To that, I was greatly disappointed and asked for the desk staff to reprimanded for her unsatisfactory customer service. Next thing I knew I was approach by the general manager and ask to leave. He claimed that I had harassed his desk staff, he called me a pejorative name, and he accused me of being sexist. I was utterly shocked and amazed by what I was hearing and I was dumbstruck by the general manager's lack of professionalism. For the life of me, I couldn't believe that I was being asked to leave when I was the one who was receiving bad service. I may have been direct in seeking satisfaction for my problem, but in no way was I how he described me. I guess this is just another case, in the extreme, where the customer isn't right anymore.

Great hotel for visiting Channel Islands
The hotel was nice and clean. It was very close to the Island Packers office where we went to get on our boat for the day trip to Santa Cruz. Lots of restaurants in the area. We went down to Main St. and ate at Winchester's. GREAT HAMBURGERS. We had to cancel one night of our stay at this hotel[...].

Serene Getaway from LA!
The rooms were fairly large and had ample closet space. The view was great because we had the garden view. From our window, we could see the garden, pool and jacuzzi... All in all, it was a great room and it was very tranquil.

Relaxing getaway
A great relaxing getaway. The hotel and grounds were beautiful. All the staff was very pleasant. Close to the harbor to just walk and look at the shops and enjoy the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The price of the room was very reasonable. Would recommend highly for a relaxing weekend getaway. Will definitely go back again.

Nice hotel in a beautiful location
I just stayed there for one night on a business trip. I liked the location; service was very friendly. My room looked modern, was clean and refreshingly not brown-and-boring. The hotel claims to be "the only full service hotel at Ventura Harbor" but a pizza served in a cardboard box makes the restaurant fall short of that claim. Also, it is integrated in the hotel lobby which doesn't make for a nice atmosphere. No complaints otherwise. Oh, and there is a Holiday Inn next door so it ISN'T the only hotel at Ventura Harbor.

Nice Place - Customer Service Lacked
Rooms and location were great, even a complimentary bottle of water. But our lasting impression was the response we got regarding the toilet not flushing as discovered when we woke up the next day to check out. They blamed it on low water pressure. Not really interested in accomodating other than sending maintenance over as we checked out.

Worked Well for Us
Easy access to freeway, but sufficiently far away to be nice and quiet. Older hotel that has been remodeled. Rooms aren't fancy, but they are large and comfortable. Friendly staff.
