Nothing Special
Location was amazing and the room was clean, beyond that it was nothing special. The decor in the room was dated. Although it was clean, the rug had some stains and the windows just looked beat up. My particualr room was on the main road so it was a bit loud, but not too bad at night when the traffic by the beach was very light. All and all if you can get a really good price and location is your most important considerations, go for it. If you are looking for anything else, keep looking.

Nice room. nice service.
the rooms at the Inn at Venice Beach are nicer than you might think from the funky exterior and small lobby. the rooms have granite counters, light wood furniture and comfortable beds with modern bed linens, meaning no bedspreads. the free breakfast is a nice bonus. this location is convenient to Venice beach. they are planning a major remodel which begins March 2012. should be even better afterwards.

Take a walk through the Venice canals nearby. they are beautiful and an easy walk from the Inn at Venice Beach.

Nice stay
This is a charming little hotel one block from the beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable and parking is only $7 per night. I am gluten-free which no one in the area seems to know about so I skipped the complimentary breakfast there but others seemed to like it.

Save without sacrifice...
Just spent 5 nights, 1& 1/2 blocks off beach in a very comfortable, and clean room I would be paying 3x the amount for on Santa Monica beach. Open and quaint, quiet, great staff and a country bed and breakfast high quality breakfast, oh, and on site parking is $7 a night, talk about fair!

Great Place to Stay In Venice
This is a charming, comfortable little hotel, very close to the beach and a short walk away from the main strip of the Venice boardwalk. The location is great, right next to a canal and a block away from the beach. The room/bathroom was pretty average, but the bed was SOOOO comfortable. Coffee maker, coffee in the room, HBO, decent quality soaps/shampoo. The courtyard is small, but gorgeous, and the front desk staff was wonderful. I'd definetly stay here again.

Very quaint
Went to Venice Beach, Muscle Beach, and Santa Monica Pier. Also, had fabulous dinner at C&O (Italian) whick is 2 blocks away.

Weary Traveler
Clean, comfortable, and friendly
We arrived later than planned, and so just needed to find dinner and relax prior to an early flight from LAX. The concierge was very helpful and arranged a taxi for us the following morning. It was only 15 minutes to the airport, and much quieter and nicer than staying at an "airport" hotel. I would recommend. Also, they had complementary bottles of water in the room and free internet access. Nice attention to detail.

Great Location / nice people
THis hotel has a great location and the people at the front desk were great. THe hotel was a bit dated and the room was a bit dark with really cheesy decor including a painted stencil hat could have been done by my 6 year old. Bathroom was tiny and breakfast was minimal. Restaurant right next door was very good.

Our room was above kitchen and there were strange noises during the night, hotel is very close to the beach and its a good idea to hire a push bike and bike into Santa Monica, staff were friendly and the rooms clean
