Luxurious and award-winning resort and winery in Southern California
South Coast Winery Resort and Spa offers 76 luxurious villas tucked into a distinctive vineyard setting. The winery has garnered numerous awards, including recognition as "Best Winery in California" in California's State Fair competition. Situated in the heart of Southern California's Temecula Wine Country, the resort and spa is located about an hour's drive from San Diego, Orange County and Los Angeles. The sumptuous spa services, friendly hospitality and breathtaking setting combine to create a memorable getaway.
- Luxurious villas in stunning vineyard setting
- Three-story spa
- Award winning winery
South Coast Winery Resort and Spa villas range from 575 to 1,150 square feet, and do not have adjoining walls, giving guests ample privacy and quiet. Every villa features lavish marble bathrooms with oversized spa tubs, dual headed showers, mini-fridge, wall safe, coffee maker, high-speed Internet access (fees apply), fireplaces and private patios. The villas are decorated with paintings of grape leaves over the beds, evoking the natural beauty of the vineyards.
The hotel's spacious pool is surrounded by walkways decorated with flowers and fountains. The Spanish-style architecture of the resort nestles perfectly into the beautifully landscaped grounds. The rough-hewn beams and hanging plants that abound throughout the property create a feeling of retreat and relaxation. For guests that enjoy more vigorous activity, a vineyard trail walk, winery tour and fitness facility are available.
South Coast Winery produces four collections from its vineyards, and guests can sample the affordable whites and reds in the resort's spacious wine tasting room.
At the Vineyard Rose restaurant, South Coast Winery Resort and Spa's on-site eatery, guests enjoy dishes crafted from Southern California flavors with Tuscan influences. Tables are sheltered by open beams in the dining room or surrounded by vineyard views from the terrace.
South Coast Winery Resort and Spa's three-story GrapeSeed spa pampers guests with body treatments, manicures and pedicures, a dry sauna and facials. Occasionally, the hotel offers "Vino Vinyasa," a yoga class held outdoors on a rolling lawn by a rose arbor.

amazing birthday
great location within the southern wine-county in california. our first morning we sat on our private balcony drinking our coffee and watching the hot-air balloons. beautiful property all the way around, huge pool, great spa services, beyond friendly staff, decent food at the rose restaurant, (expect to pay) but not too filling. the room was simply amazing, one of the best around, with a huge bathroom, three person shower, two person jaccucci-tub and plenty of living space. plus a complementary fifty dollar bottle of wine included. this place would be ideal if they had horse stables on property. that's the only reason for the down grade in rating.

South Coast Villa
The room, resort, winery and staff were OUTSTANDING!!! The restaurant food was just okay though. VERY expensive and average tasting. The server was great, but the food left a little to be desired. Otherwise a great stay.

Very nice experience
This is a beautiful hotel and grounds. I would have been happier to have a villa not facing the parking lot, and not the handicap which had a too huge bathroom, thus less living space...but the resort and pool are fantastic. The down-side...we were shooed off the balcony by the spa pattendant because we were not spa patrons....(so close it off!) and that felt rude, as we only sat down for a minute, and there wasn't a soul in the spa at the time....also, the "free" tasting is only 3 tastes, and the pourer poured me the wrong wine, so I really only got 2....The happy hour was reasonable, but food was just fair. Go to old town instead. We got to go grape harvesting, which I guess is rare, and our host was wonderful, showing us around the winery. This and the pool were the high points of the stay.

Great resort for couples
We wanted a relaxing getaway from the kids before school started. We decided on Temecula wine country. Check in was pleasant and they gave us a complimentary wine tasting tickets and a bottle of wine in our room. The entire grounds reminded us of Napa Valley. An actual vineyard separated the villas from the resort. We enjoyed the solitude this provided but it was a bit of a walk. The room was large and comfy. Beautiful bathroom. The villas did not share common walls. Happy hour menu was awesome. We skipped dinner. This resort is about relaxing not partying so prepare accordingly. Only bummer were the mosquitos that found us at night. Not much you could do about that. We will definitely book this resort again very soon.

They have a really great happy hour from 4 to 630pm. Ahi Poke was fresh. The shrimp and scallop coctail was huge. Great atmosphere and service. Piano plays in the back round.

Great getaway!
We were visiting family and found that we also had a lovely relaxing vacation. Room was large enough to have a few people over for drinks-patio was lovely and relatively private despite overlooking the parking lot. Breakfasts delivered to patio and pool were quite enjoyable. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Just what we needed...
Very nice anniversary getaway! We arrived before our villa was ready, laid out by the pool, and the front desk called my cell when the villa was ready...nice service. Dinner at the restuarant was very good...and the staff knew about anniversary and provided a wonderful dessert! the villa was very quiet and well-maintained! The banana pancake breakfast dessert was amazing...a must have! Will definitely visit again...villa rates are high, but a splurge is good from time to time!
