Americas Best Value Inn Tahoe City/Lake Tahoe

Nice motel, standard room. Had free wifi and a small "breakfast". We did book 3 adults (went up snowboarding) and got a room with one king bed. The staff was nice enough to give us 2 rollaway beds, no extra charge.

Right in the middle of Tahoe City. Walk to everything, ski shops,resturants,the lake and then only 5 miles to Squaw valley and Alpine Meadows. We got 10 feet of snow in 3 days. The best skiing in the world. They cleaned up all that snow each day as if it was only an inch. Rooms were clean and well appointed

Room was very clean and large enough with King size bed. Included a simple continental breakfast. Staff was friendly and efficient. Room cleans did excellent job. My room faced off road and was very quite.

Excellent value for money

A nice no frills place right on the lake. I was a little disapointed in the breakfast (really not much there) but the service was good and the staff were nice. For a business trip this is a good place to stay. I don't think I'd take my wife there. I'd look for something a bit nicer. They gave two nearby resturaunts coupons and I fell in love with the one next door. Blue Aguave. The other one didn't impress me with their food up the street a ways. Overall a nice average no frills place. Clean and quiet. Oh, and the pool was out of service. Full of algae. But this is winter so no one would use it anyway.

The motel is well located near restaurants and shops. The room was clean and quiet. The stay proved to be an exceptional value.

I had first tahoe ski trip with kids this year and didn't really need any fancy room or amenties. The nice thing about this place is that this place is pretty close to alpine meadow and sqauw valley ski resort (~10 min), located right by lake tahoe and a bunch of nice place to eat. The inn manager was kind enough and even gave us some discount deal with places around there. Our family has a lot of fun with snow and will probably be back for more later.

We enjoyed a brief trip to beautiful Tahoe, arriving the morning after 10 inches of snow the previous day/night. The initial greeting at the front desk was not too cheery, but everything else turned out fine. The room was clean and comfortable with stuffed chair and good TV, bed was great, bathroom clean but a bit worn with shower and no tub. Very good location across the street from the lakefront, and only a block or two from good restaurants and shops in the small town. Since we were on the ground floor we dreaded noise from above, but it turned out to be minimal and gave us a very restful evening and next morning. We'll certainly consider staying here again.

Standard room for the price. Clean. Location at the center of Tahoe city is key to access nearby ski resorts. I was woken several times due to neighbors returning from bars late night and the thin walls didn't help. Otherwise, I will definitely stay here again.
