average hotel

stayed here because the price was good and seemed like a clean and decent location. had no problems with any of the staff or anything else. traveled to SanJose because my dauhter was oing to be going to the International Culinary center in campbell and it was an easy drive from the hotel. I would recomend this hotel if you are not looking to spend alot but stay in a ood place.

It is really a motel

It is not a hotel as much as just a motel to stay overnight if you are really pressed for a place to sleep. It is in a lower middle class neighborhood of Sunnyvale. (You will need a car and prepare to drive 20-30 minutes to places like Palo Alto town center of Santana Row in north San Jose). They try hard to upscale the facility but can be better. However, for the price and in comparison with other motels/hotels in the area, they are fair. If they really really want to elevate themselves (and charge more), they can do a massive re-landscaping to turn garbage-strewn wrap-around parking lot into a charming garden ground (still with parking) and make the motel architecture into "homey" style resort (with room facade upgrading). They can add other facilities like fitness center to go with their pool (which can use a facelift or makeover as well). Overall, it is an average motel, like Motel 6 or Motel 8. The rooms appear to be recently renovated and clean.

Good value for the price

I liked the location of this hotel near a small strip mall and major highways. Our room was clean but definitely ready for renovation. It was small but liveable. More than adequate supply of fresh towels as needed. Buffet breakfast was a real plus, with protein sources and fresh fruit in addition to baked goods. While it seemed most guests were on business or school functions, there were some families who enjoyed the breakfast and the pool. WIFI was fine.

Good room, common areas run down

I chose this hotel because the price was less than half of many other choices in the area, and from a previous stay, I knew that the room itself was just fine. On this stay, the room was also good. The common areas of the hotel are getting run down and seemed rather desolate - but since I tended to arrive late evening and leave early morning, that may have been an artifact of the timing. For my purposes - a place to sleep while not working - the value was excellent.

Rooms not horrendous, but seedy with poor service

The hotel is in a strange area near a strip mall and major highway exits, but still feels remote enough to be unsafe. It's reminiscent of hotels I've stayed at in industrial areas near airports, but without the proximity to the airport. While it wasn't the worst hotel I've stayed at - not much in the way of bugs, stains, stray hairs, etc. - it certainly felt dank. Pillows and bed were comfortable. The room was small with insufficient space to hang clothing. The staff was generally rude and unhelpful, though at least willing to acknowledge that for Sushi, you're better off not eating at the hotel restaurant.

Horrible experience

The hotel is a nightmare. Rooms not clean, you can find hair on the bed sheet, dusty carpet, and noisy environment. Changed 3 rooms and still not ok.

Not what I expected or desired

The hotel is under construction and mattresses stored outside all over the place; place is run down, rooms are below par in condition for the price. Had I known I would not have made the reservation. Pictures and actuality don't match. Just to run down over time. Maybe a face lift is coming but looks like months away if that. Prices too high for the value. Courtyard area, pool is nice and private; place has potential if owners care to invest. No or little road noise.
