Trying? Not so Much
Second time staying there. Price and location are the driving forces. They seem to be trying to improve. New flat screen TVs and bed covers and WiFi coverage improved. Unfortunately the TVs are programmed incorrectly and not all local channels (Fox 2) are available. In-room TV "channel guide" wasn't updated. Room wasn't made up by 4:30pm Saturday. I walked down the walkway and got some coffee supplies from the housekeeper working on another room. She apologized...but obviously some staffing issues. Carpet is horrible. Pillows lumpy. But towels were softer than my first visit. Love the shower head! In a pinch due, to price and location, I would stay here again...with price being the major factor. With their proximity to the 49ers new stadium, if I were the management, I would do whatever it takes to upgrade everything before it opens.

There are plenty of other hotels, you've been warned
This place is horrific! It's a motel 6, but worse. (really, thought that was impossible) The Area: It is next to the Mercado center but if you go beyond that, the surrounding area is not upscale whatsoever. There are some suburban homes around but other apartments and liquor stores too...not ideal. The Room: The structure are very old and dingy, everything looks like it's from an 80's movie. The carpets were extremely worn, and disgusting, what I call a "FLIP FLOP HOTEL" because, like camping, I would highly recommend you do not touch the carpet with your feet. The bathroom, was very dirty, I swear I was worse going out of the shower than going into it. The walls are made of glass, very unsafe and quite exposed. The Staff: They were very friendly. No complaints there. The "Free" Breakfast: Very simple, nothing to write home about, it consisted of cereal, some sausage, toast your own english muffins, some fruit juice, and peeled HARD BOILED EGGS! The only neat thing is that they have a waffle maker, one, for ALL the guests. You have to wait in line a long time to even use it. The Price: Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy over priced. I've stayed at way better hotels for less. Pick a different one, stay away from this place.

We checked in and there were spiders on the bed- not to mention the old worn out carpets, stains on the roof and everything else When we went to check out the receptionist was outright rude.

Disappointed
I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights here at this hotel because of the heated pool. At the time of checking in staff did not let me know the pool was closed. With 3 children this was a huge disappointment for this was all they were looking forward to. Shower knobs were loose and falling off there were no microwaves only 1 ice machine working . It's spring break pool should of been opened. Monica padilla

Older hotel
This Ramada Inn has been in Silicon Valley for a long time. The rooms show their age but are clean and comfortable. I was at the back of the property so did not hear any noise from 101 which runs in front. There is good access to Lawrence Expy, Tasman and Great America/Bowers. This is my first trip with a new startup so we are looking for savings whenever we travel. This hotel fit the bill. I'll stay there again.

Pretty basic hotel at a nice location
The room we were provided with was pretty basic and did not look like a 3-star hotel. The room looked real old without adequate ventilation and did not have any bells and whistles that we have experienced in other hotels. Wireless internet was fast. Did not have the time to enjoy the free breakfast. Nice location if you are looking for great south indian restaurants and visiting tech companies like Apple, Google etc. In my opinion, this hotel is overrated and does not deserve the room rent nor the 3-stars.

Don't ignore the bad reviews
Time has passed this place by. I put on clothes to go to bed. Will be booking another hotel for the rest of my stay. This place needed a remodel 20 years ago.
