Best Western Plus Grosvenor Hotel

[...]. The rooms were clean but there was a plate of food that was left out side in the hallway all night.

The room was fine. The elevators, lobby, and front desk were quite crowded. Dinner at the restaurant was mediocre.

Of all the Hotels I have stayed at, the Best Western Grosvenor had to be one of the best. It had the trimmings of a 4-5 star hotel but scaled down to a small, cozy area. The staff would accommodate any request at any time of day or night. It was lovely, quiet, clean and fun to stay in.

Due to lack of security, homeless slept in the hallway, kept the fire doors open and over crowded rooms with open doors filled the halls with tobacco smoke. One person was on duty to serve dinner. The extra charge for parking included a chance to watch the prostitutes work the rear parking lot.

Wanted to be close to airport and rental car return.

This hotel was a good experience. Check-in was easy. [...] advertised that they had smoking rooms and this was not so. It is a non smoking hotel. We used room service for dinner, and the food was great.My only complaint would be the carpeting was not really that clean and the tub and furniture was worn.

When we arrived the clerk was unable to find my reservation. I had to hand him my paperwork from the internet. He handed me our room keys but, never stated what floor or room we were in. The most upsetting part of our trip was when we were in our room. My husband turned the tv on, clicked menu to watch the local channels and when he did that it ordered a movie, we called the desk and were told it was "too late" and that they aren't responsible for mistakes. We called right as the movie started and there was NO sympathy or understanding. So we paid $13.99 for a movie we could have watched for nothing with netflix. This was very irritating and upsetting. I will never stay at this hotel again!

Nice room however the toilet in our room did'nt work! slow to get backfill water and top of toilet tank cover put pressure on water filler preventing water to despense or to fill up. Basically we had issues with the toilet which we discussed when we left Hotel. I had to use toilet at 3 am to end up trying to make it flush and waiting to refill water! We did'nt like the three dollars a day for parking and the complimentary breakfast was too early between 5-6 am. Who gets up that early to eat a complimentary breakfast when your on vacation anyways? The restaurant prices are way too high, we were better off going to Mcdonalds across the street for a much cheaper price to eat. We were at this Hotel last year and there were tickets for a free breakfast and no cost of parking per day. We visit SF once a year and we are really doubtful that we will be back at this Hotel.
