Last Hoorah!

The hotel was overall very good. The room was clean. The hotel was not too far away from the casinos and the lake so we had a blast. There's a cheap little taqueria across the street that had delicious tacos! My only complaint would be that the continental breakfast was a little short on the variety of food.

solid value

This motel offers a heated pool and spa, an above-average continental breakfast, beach passes, and a functional, clean room. The property was older and not fancy, but apart from a wireless signal that seemed to fade in and out, everything was there as advertised, and everything worked. I think this motel offers very good value, and the location is convenient.

The location was good

The beds were hard and we felt every spring. There waw no padding in the mattresses. The room was clean and the staff were helpful. But the beds were so bad that I would not recommend This motel.

A fine home base for Tahoe exploration

Our stay at the "Blue Lake Inn at The Heavenly Village" was fine. While it was not remarkable, to be honest we did not go to Tahoe to spend all the time in the hotel, but rather to use the hotel as a home base from which to explore the wonders in the Tahoe area. And for that purpose, our accomodations were perfect. The room (king size) was clean and though a bit dated, everything was functional and the bed was comfortable. Two tables and several chairs made it very convenient for eating, etc. The continental breakfast was adequate though not extravagant. It consisted of Coffee (pretty good, actually), juice, assorted not-very-fresh donuts (but a few seconds in the room microwave fixed that), apples and oranges, and instant oatmeal. Plan on taking breakfast back to your room, though, the breakfast room had almost no seating area. The staff was friendly and helpful, showing us where the laundry room is, explaining the beach pass, reccommending restaurants, etc. All in all, a great value for the price, and I'd be quite ammenable to returning there.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Found an awesome burger place "Burger Lounge". Well worth the 10 minute or so it takes to drive there.
