Perfect Location

We overall had a great experience at the Tahoe Lakeshore Lodge and Spa. When we checked in, we were given the wrong kind of room for what we had paid for, but after a couple of phone calls and some confusion, we were able to move to the correct room and it was smooth sailing from there. The lake view from the room was amazing, and our little boy loved running out on the sand. We stayed in the condo with the loft, and were very comfortable there. The rooms are on the older side, but clean. It would be nice if a log for the fireplace was provided automatically, but you can get one from the front desk or run over to the store which is walking distance. It was a quick drive to the mountain and nice to come back to a nice fire. The hot chocolate machine in the lobby area was a hit with our little boy and the pastries in the morning were good. We will definitely stay here again!

The drugstore at the front of the parking lot is very well stocked with anything you might need - don't need to go all the way to the grocery store.

Breathtaking View

We have traveled quite a bit and have booked places to stay that say they have beautiful views or other great amenities like hot tubs or fireplaces in the room only to be disappointed to find that they don't have such things. When we walked into our room at the Lakeshore Lodge we were amazed with the beathtaking view of Lake Tahoe from our balcony. The room was very comfortable and it did have a fireplace in it.

We went on a brunch cruise on the lake. It was great. I think it is only available on Sundays. The lodge does not provide transportation, but you can purchase your tickets in advance through the lodge.

Painted by God's own hand

The location of this hotel is all that is needed for a great review. Right on the beach, with a perfect view of the lake and surrounding area, with perfect weather for October. Everything else was excellent as well. I will definitely stay here again.

The View

My wife and I went to Tahoe to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We decided to stay at the Lake shore lodge because it was located on the lake, it was a good choice. When we checked in the the hotel clerk upgraded us to one of the best rooms in the hotel, with a great view of the lake and he recommended a great place to eat along with some activities . The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms clean. The only complaint is they didn't have any chairs on the beach, which is not that big of a deal but would have been nice to have on the private beach.

My recent hotel exp. in Lake Tahoe

Right after we entered into the room that was assigned to us, we have noticed the wash basin does not work. When I have called the front desk they have informed us that maint. is not available and asked us to move to another room. We had to put stuff back in, go to the front desk and go back to 4th floor again. The new room did not have a centralized heater, very old interior, torned curtains, large stains in the ceiling, 13 inch CRT TV [!!!] when flat screen wide screen TV is a standard everywhere. The rent for the accommodation that they provide is not at all justified. A fair prize for this hotel would be 30% less than what is advertized. Will I ever go back to this place? Probably not!!!

Romantic vacation

This vacation was amazing. The location was located right on the beach with the most beautiful view of Lake Tahoe I have seen. The hotel management as well as staff were very friendly and great to work with. For sure the best place I have stayed in Tahoe, and I plan on returning soon.
