Overall good for the price. Heavenly is just cross the street. So if you just need a place to sleep, this is a good one. Free parking here and just walk to the entrance to enjoy your ski or snowboarding.
If you are going to Lake Tahoe, do yourself a favor… don’t stay the Stateline Economy Inn and Suites
If you are going to Lake Tahoe, do yourself a favor… don’t stay the S.E.I.S.. Yes, I know… it is very cheap. Just go to the next hotel you see on the website. My photography group decided to shoot sunrises and sunsets around the lake so we decided
to stay in a place that was not too expensive since we were not going to spend too much time in the room.
I can deal with the fact that the hotels and motels in the South part of South Lake Tahoe are old, but the S.E.I.S. seems to be abandoned and not maintained for a long time. The carpet was old and ruined, I mean very old; the door of the bathroom in my room did not close; the shower floors has mildew and who knows what else was growing there, the towels in one of my colleague’s room had holes in them, the shower on my other colleague’s room did not work. To add to these, the walls were paper thin and I could hear everything going on in the room next door. From the snoring to the noises the couple next door was making and all of their conversations. Also, the parking lot of the building was a party at all times of the day and night. People running on the hallways, doors slamming shut, car music very loud, children screaming, and the occasional arguments, cursing and fighting. I was hoping for the manager to call the police at one point but he never did.
It is very funny to me that the girls at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating at the time we checked in. They even asked us to make sure we write a review a about our stay at the S.E.I.S.. I think they wanted us to post our experience on line so people will know what they are getting into to if they reserve at the S.E.I.S..
If you are going to Lake Tahoe, do yourself a favor… don’t stay the S.E.I.S.
Why can we have an option for "No Stars"?????
We(2 adults, three kids) arrived tired from the drive. Very nice man at the counter. Room exactly as described and smelled clean. Get this: Staff came knocking... opened up room adjoining to 53- extra tv, queen bed and some peace and quiet from
aforementioned 3 kids! Made a much better night than we planned!
True- pool and jacuzzi shut down, but many motels already closed in the area. Give this family owned business your travel cash and keep Tahoe Alive!
Avoid this hotel!
They lost power several times, one time for a couple of ours. The heater in the bathroom didnt work, the bathroom door wasnt working. The roomdoor looked like someone broke in. Ìn addition to all this the towels were all dirty
plus the shower cabin looked real filthy. On top of that, they wont even consider giving you a refund. Reason for that, its on the power supply company. Seems very strange as all the other facilities around had power and they cant even show proof that its on the supplier. In conclusion - never again!
This place has been around. If your looking for location, you found it! Front desk was super kind! Not lots of extras. If you want a bed in a killer location (I'm not sure why you want anything more when your in such an AWESOME place like Tahoe),
then you've found it. This is the cheapest place you'll find this close to the action. It's safe, it's got what you need, and the front desk is nice!!! Enjoy!!! *Not the cleanest bathroom*
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
