1st time Tahoe
Dollar for Dollar, best room
We spent little time at the hotel during our stay, but the room was very nice. Almost everything was updated and the exterior was designed like a ski lodge with the "cabin appeal". Inside the rooms were very spacious and ours had a mountain view (with the main road in between). Bathrooms get 2 stars in my book due to the door swinging the wrong way and a very low shower head. King size bed was excellent and it truly was the best hotel I've stayed in, Dollar for dollar. Staff was EXTREMELY nice and helpful also.

Great location: remodeled motel
This is clearly a remodeled motel from the 50s/60s, so it has that small-and-dark feel despite a much-improved exterior. Not bad, just definitely still feels like an old motel with fresh paint. The location is excellent, right across from the Marriott shopping center, a retail shopping center, and a theater. Walking distance to the casinos and there's a Starbucks across the street with an SBC in the Marriott center. The pool was remarkably well-heated! It felt warm even while there was snow on the ground - our munchkin loved it. Also, the beds have memory foam mattresses which are a step up from the usual fare. Overall a solid, budget priced hotel in a great location for South Lake Tahoe.

There's a cafe across the street in the Marriott center which has a great breakfast - walk to the right of the Burger King. Two words: cinnamon roll!

Value for money
Experience was very pleasant, was in the center of the South Lake Tahoe city, close to all major casinos and Gondola. People at Front desk were very co-operative and nice to talk to, they even gave us discount coupons for the water sports. One minor thing we didnt like was that the sheets were not as clean as we would have liked it to be.

Not great.
We were promised a room with a view. Didn't happen. Our bed randomly vibrated during the day and night, our hotel had no explanation. The pool was completely frozen and covered in snow. The hot tub was open, but surrounded by snow...the last thing you want to walk through before putting your feet in hot water. The walls are PAPER thin. No microwave. Questionable stains on towels and sheets. Memory foam bed. Shower doesn't stay at one temperature. Nice staff and good location though.

Park Tahoe Inn
Great experience. Hotel was clean and the temperpedic beds were a plus after skiing all day. Unbeatable price, walking distance to everything (Heavenly Gondola, Casinos, restaraunts, etc.) We've already booked again for the end of the month!

Park Tahoe Inn
stayed there 4 nights. It was clean and new. The bed was a temperpedic matress, however it was a bit hard. The shower was quite small though. It was one of those corner showers. Close to everything especially the heavenly gondola and the casinos which was really nice because we didn't have to drive. I would stay here again.

Great value for the buck
Great location, about a block to the main Gondola. Lots of shops, restaurants coffee shops were just steps away. The room was basic, clean with comfy mattresses. The hot tub/pool was disappointing and parking was at a premium. I'd definietly stay there again but don't expect a luxurious room.
