Better informed, but we're not staying here again.
Firstly no one mentioned extra charges. $15 'enviromental?' fee for towels and Internet was tacked on to the Online booking fee. Aren't those things usually included? The king size rooms have a real motel grungy feel and there's a $10 upgrade fee for a double queen. The site itself was pretty dirty and dingy but the room was ok and for the money I did not expect too much more. We stayed here in the past and it seems like they've let the place go a bit. To sum up, you get what you pay for and ask questions.

If the place is not packed ask to see a couple of the room of the type you reserved since all the rooms are different. Some are a lot nicer than others.

Awesome location, great value
The hotel has been redone. It is very nice and the location is ideal! The beds are really great. The $12 resort fee is so bogus because it is not a resort. As long as you know you are going to pay it on the front end, it is not an issue. You are across the street from Heavenly Village and a short walk to the Gondola. It is not an elite hotel, but a great value in a superb location. I would stay there again!

Year end getaway
It is better to double-check if breakfast is included or not, because I had some misunderstanding when I booked my reservation. The hotel is OK, but it is not worth the price I have paid. I would use this hotel again if I find a good promotion price in the futire.

Short walk from hotel
If you don't feel like eating out, but is looking for healthier food to eat at your room, a good option is to get some fresh sushi in Raley's that is just accross the street.
