Parking Problem
The resort is in the process of remodeling or updating. The parking lot is not available for self parking. It is valet only! Plus the resort charges you $16 a day for the parking.

Great place to take anyone who is visiting from Europe.
A visually beautiful hotel sitting at the perfect spot on the south shore of Lake Tahoe. It is close to all the major attractions at Stateline, yet not caught in the maze of traffic at the state border area, so it is a bit more quiet. The staff and concierge teams were superb and went out of their way to make the stay a special event for our Spanish guests. Our Spanish visitors were greatly impressed with the resort. One thing did catch us by surprise...a $16.00 per day valet parking fee. Whlle not a budget buster, it was unexpected fee and not reported until we got to the door. You have no other choice to park your car.

Mammoth Mountain Resort a mammoth let down.
Absolutely stunning location at 9000 feet above sea- level on the side of Mammoth Mountain. Check-in was quick and the staff courteous. The let down started when we found our room not in the main lodge, but in a barracks-like facility (The Yodeler) close by. It was nothing to yodel about. Once we entered the hallway, the dank smell and dimly lit facility immediatley meant "bait and switch". In the barracks, the over-heated rooms are small and outside of a small coffee maker and a nice flatscreen TV, very spartan. No microwave or refrigerator en suite...no floor space to accomodate. Thankfully, the room was quiet and we were able to force the window open and get the temperature down to a comfortable level. The bed was comfortable. The next morning , the view of the slopes was jaw dropping and lessened the disappointment of the room a bit. This place could be a jewel with some upgrades in the barracks to make it worth the money we paid. I dropped the keys in a quick check-out box rather than start the day by making a desk clerk uncomfortable with comments about my disappointment.

Time-saving tip:
Short drive from hotel
Be sure to stop for food and snacks down the hill in Mammoth Lakes before going up the hill to the Inn. It's 6 miles each way and not a convenient thing to do at night.

Lake Tahoe Resort Vacation
These accommodations were wonderful! So much so that we puchased a time share to enjoy future vacations with Diamond Resorts. The best part of this hotel was it's location....close to everything you need and right on the lake. The weather was also perfect. The staff was extremely friendly and the rooms were clean. Would have like room service more often to make my beds for me though !

South Lake Tahoe Vacation Resort
My family and I had a great time at this resort. This is a nice place compared to other hotels around there. Great location, great staff, great place. I would recommend this place to anyone. I will go back to south lake Tahoe again and I will definitely stay at this resort. Parking $16/day a bit expensive.

Lake Tahoe Vacation Resort
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Hotel was very clean. Lots of things to do. They had a very nice children's activity center with fun activities for the kids, and a nice barbecue area. We had beach access and enjoyed sitting on the beach, riding seadoos, a boat ride across the lake. Lots of nearby restaurants that were outstanding.

Luxury
We had never gone to Lake Tahoe so finding a place to stay was a shot in the dark. Well we shot bullseye. The two bedrroom was about as big as our whole house. My 7 year old just kept running... Pool was nice, indoor, outdoor. Too bad we couldn't stay longer. I like that it was within walking distance of everything, except for serious hiking.

Big Timeshare right on the lake
We stopped by Tahoe on the way to Oregon for two nights. The hotel is big and right by the lake. You can rent personal watercraft and a nice restaurant is close by. The hotel does not have their own beach and space to hang out on the beach is somewhat limited. The location on Ski Run is quite central to South Lake Tahoe. A couple of restaurants are in short walking distance. The rooms are modern. Ours had a small kitchen counter with fridge, coffeemaker, sink, etc. The bathroom is good. The room was not terribly big, but would be good size for two (we were three). The hotel sells timeshares and that is evident as soon as you check in. You get the sales spiel with free nights offered and a visa card with $75 for 1.5h of your time. We chose not to go as those sales talks are high pressure and everything I hear says time shares are not worth it.

Great Hotel. Great Location.
My wife and I went for a wedding. The location was right across from the reception so it worked out great. The hotel is very close to the casinos and not far from the waterfalls. It is literally at the bottom of Ski run right on the water. The only bad thing about the hotel is the general parking. There was never a spot and we eventually had to valet.

The hotel was right near the beach and the beach activities. We rented wave runners, paddle boats for the smaller kids and just had a great experience.
