Good Deal and very convenient

Good deal and close to the lake. The facility has a bowling center. There are couple of good restaurants and pub/grill in walking distance. There is an indoor ice skating place in walking distance. Our room had a microwave and a refrigerator inside with plenty of space (not occupied by the insanely overpriced drinks that is sitting out there for ages). There was a balcony/deck in our room overlooking the lake. Great view and a good place to sit during summer. My only complaint is the noisy air/heat unit, which was not a problem in other units. It did not bother me much when I put it on low speed. Overall, yes I would recommend to a friend or for that matter to a complete stranger. Convenient with plenty of parking space.

2 thumbs up

After reading reviews of hotels in South Lake Tahoe I was skeptical to book anything until I came across reviews for this hotel. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The room was clean with a comfortable bed, balcony with chairs, microwave and fridge. It wasn't near the busy area of S. Lake Tahoe but was close enough for a quick drive.

Good hotel for the $$, great spa and pool!

We visited this hotel in SLT for the first time and didn't know what to expect (as the reviews on Orbitz and other sites were mixed). The room was clean, bed was soft, had a full mini fridge and microwave in the room. Hotel is right across from the lake, but any beaches are down the road a bit. The pool area and 2 spas were really nice - spent some time both nights relaxing in them. The staff was pretty friendly and they have complimentary beach bikes for first come first serve use. We were really happy with the accommodations and hotel. They also have BBQ pits and picnic tables if you desire to cook up some of your own food. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Solid 3 star property.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Definitely go East on 50 to Highway 89 towards Emerald bay to Anderson's Bicycle rental. The staff there was exceptional and extremely helpful. If you are interested in seeing some beautiful sights, take a couple of hours and ride along the bike trail through Camp Richardson, take a stroll along Rainbow trail (cool underwater view of a creek/pond) and enjoy the weather. Bikes are $9/hr and after the first hour are prorated every 15 minutes thereafter. Can't beat the price for the adventure and view.

Could be better

We arrived a little bit early and the hotel was only about half full. I asked if we could get in a little earlier, but the young lady in the office really didn't even try to get us in. Plus, she had a bit of an attitude we didn't care for. We were also surprised that they gave us a room at the back of the hotel facing an old trailer park. Had they given us a better room (There were plenty remaining), we would have determined to return to this hotel. However, all things considered, we will look for something else in the future.

INN BY THE LAKE VIEW OF PARKING LOT & TRAILER COURT

The hotel was quite dated but very clean. Shower pressure was great, the lotion, shampoo and conditioner were very nice. The staff was great super helpful. The view from the room was a parking lot and trailer court, not so great. It was pretty quiet. The cost of the room was high for what we got.

Do not miss 'FRESHIES' they had the best fish tacos and salads around. Great value for the money. Great staff. If you want to eat on the rooftop with a view of the lake, be prepared to wait. Decor is Hawaiian.

Great place to stay with beautiful lake view

We stayed there for two nights and had lot of fun visiting nearby attractions. Gondola ride in heavenly village is close by (we walked to it). The place is quiet and away from the Casinos. There is a bike trail next to hotel and you can get complimentary bikes from the hotel. There are lots of hiking places nearby. We will certainly consider this hotel for our future trips to Lake Tahoe.

Good Value

We stayed a few days as a stop over before heading to Las Vegas in July. The suite was nice and big and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Didn't realize we would be on a busy street since this was our first time to Lake Tahoe. But the view of the lake and pool from our balcony was nice.

Beautiful Lake view very clean

We chartered a fishing trip, had a really good time, they clean your fish and recommend a resturant that will cook it the way you want. Went to the Pope beach, the beach across from the hotel was under water because of all the snow they had this year. Went to Womack's for the very best spicey wings I have ever had!!!!

You must try Womack's delisious Barbeque food, and the wings are a must. The barbeque sause is off the charts! I just wish he would sale it on line, it truly is to die for. Orchid's Thai Cuisine is really delicious I really like the Pad Nam Prik Pow ask for spicier.
