Colorful boutique hotel in the heart of South Lake Tahoe
The Highland Inn Lake Tahoe is an alternative to the grand casino-hotel experience in South Lake Tahoe. This smoke-free property has 30 guest rooms and a multi-lingual staff. Night for skier: free parking, clean and warm room
Great hotel. I like the price and location. Looks like rooms have been recently remodeled. It's clean, warm and cheap. I was staying in Marriot before for $150-200 now I stay here for $60 and have free parking that cost $50 in Marriot.

I had the most misrable night ever. I woke up with lots of noise from next room in the middle of the night probably about 6-8 people in that room, drinking alcohol, shouting, screaming, jumping on the bed, etc. Me and my husband were awake the entire night until about 6 oclock in the morning. I call front desk many times, no one answered. My husband stop by the lobby, found it lock and nobody there to complain. In the morning when we checked out the person said "I'm sorry my job is hard and I fell sleep and I did not answer the call" , "Please don't say anything to my manager". I called the manager 2 hours after, and he did nothing.

good rooms, very good location
we stayed 3 nights and stay was comfortable.. Situated right next to the market and walkable to casinos and gondola and eateries. I donlt ski so cannot comment on access to other ski resorts .. Pros: Location , Nice rooms - with LCD TV, fridge, Iron etc Cons- nothing major- no hair dryer, and WIFI did not work in rooms they had a dedicated computer at the reception where you could access internet though. Reception guy looked overworked but did as was necessary

Great to walk to the Village & Gondola!
We always stay at this place when we go to Heavenly! It's so close to the casinos, gondola, restaurants & parking is easy! I would recommend this place as a nice, pet-friendly, affordable motel that has a great location!

Go Warriors
This place defines value!
For only $70 the weekend of Thanksgiving, it was one of the least expensive hotels available. The studio room was nice with simple yet creative decor. The TV was large and had a lot of channels available. The bathroom area was modest but had a luxurious feel due to the new-looking fixtures. The only major drawback was the lack of a hair dryer, usually a necessity during colder seasons. The room had no coffee maker or microwave but did have a medium-sized refrigerator. The man at the desk was very pleasant and even accommodated us when we wished to check in early (1 pm). The hotel is located about a block and a half from the Heavenly gondola and is centrally located near lots of shops, food, markets, entertainment, and only a half mile from the casinos.

Convenient location & affordable stay
Pros: -Convenient location. Close to dining choices and the casinos -Reasonable rate Cons: -Close to main road, noisy -The walls are not very sound proof -Really small shower Not recommended for special occasions, romantic getaways.

Great Modern Room for the Price!!
The room was comfortable walking distance to the casinos. The decor was very cute and modern. Nice television and decent size refrigerator. No coffee for the java lovers, but there is a Starbucks across the street. Highly recommend for the younger crowd who want to play and stay in something affordable, yet nice!
