Great Family Ski Weekend
The Marriott Grand Residences was the perfect place to stay if you want to ski at Heavenly. Just walk out to catch the gondola. We stayed in a king one bedroom. The room was very comfortable with all the comforts of home. The kitchen is well stocked with all the equipment you need to make a meal. The staff was very friendly and professional. We will be back next year.

Great location
Had a wonderful experience. The room was well appointed, and the pool and hot tub were beautiful. My only complaint is that the bed was way too hard for comfort, and the sheets felt like plastic. With the price of the room, I expected better quality and comfort.

Perfect location, so-so hotel
There's only one thing perfect about this hotel- the location. Otherwise, it's probably not worth the money. Quick summary: * it's literally a 30second walk to the heavenly gondola * our room had a really strong smel of cleaning detergents. We changed rooms, and the new room was only slightly better. This may be a general issue in the winter, since they probably don't air out the rooms when it's cold out. * the hot tubs and pools are very nice * valet staff were helpful but not overly nice. They also forgot to retrieve our car and had to be reminded after we stood there for 15 minutes waiting

Don't mind if I do!
Was in a great location, right on the strip and not far from all the shops and casinos. The room was nice and big, with a great balcony. Everything was set up very nice, the only thing we would change is the beds were not too comfy...was hard to get a full 7 hours of sleep on them.

relaxing in the heart of south lake tahoe
You can't get a better location! Right in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. The staff was SO helpful, very pleasant to talk to. Eager to help us find the perfect activities, from casino events, wine tasting in the lobby to horseback riding ( at the best rates! ) They gave us great advice on where to eat ( and trust them on where NOT to eat ) The studio we stayed in had everything we could possibly need during our stay. Rooms were very nice. The site looks just as it does in the pictures, made us feel very fancy, glamorous even! Can't beat the site, the staff or the price. We will definitely be coming back.

A hotel attendant warned us against the new Fire and Ice mongolian style bbq. We didn't listen, wish we had. it was over priced, under cooked. A great atmosphere, but that was about it. I will say we went in late afternoon, and witnessed a switch over in chef's. Perhaps we just caught the less experienced one.....

Picky Lawyer
Great Location, But an Ordinary Hotel
I complained about how warm the room was (72F) at night and was told to be environmentally friendly they installed a cold water cooling system throughout the hotel, i.e., no Freon. Marriott also used motion sensors to turn the system off if you didn't move around. This would be ok in the winter, but too warm in the summer. I was also surprised by the $26/night parking fee. I would not go back at any price.

Better than expected
Room was nice and clean. Most things are in walking distance. Staff was very helpful. Like others have said, only negative is the $26/day valet parking. Wish they had a free parking garage like the other hotels in the area. Room service would have been nice also. Otherwise I will definately stay here again in the future.
