Great Location

The location can't be beat and the property is smoke free, which is a nice reprieve from the nightlife in Reno. The rooms are small but adequate. There's really nothing outstanding about the space- I would consider it a budget property that is clean, has a good ski-style breakfast, and an on-site Powder House ski rental facility. The hot tub is on the small side and wasn't all that hot (but it was quite cold and snowy while there). While there, approximately 2 feet of snow fell and the workers were diligent in shoveling and plowing.

Check out The Naked Fish and be there at 5pm opening or else you will wait over an hour. But if you wait for over an hour, it is worth it. Great quality sushi.

Nice Location

The location is great. Near stores, casinos, attractions. It is outdated and the carpeting and the elavator needs updating.Elavator was too small for a fam. and luggage.Otherwise we liked the pool and hot tub and to be under trees and not in the open.Is recommendable for a Fam. Breakfast great.

Loved the location, next to everything.

The staff where polite and courtious. Loved the activities, miniature golf, had a blast. Food everywhere, take your pick. Coffee, ice cream, small shops for clothing, grocery next door and take it back to the room. See you again, hope my luck is a little better.

Loved the location, it's next to everything. The hotel room was big, but the decor was old. The room also smelled musty. The sink faucet in the bathroom needed to be fixed and looked like it was installed in the 60's. Other then that it was nice and cheap. I would stay again.

Great Location but rooms need renovation

The bathrooms really need cleaning the towels were really old. I was not even sure whether the bed was clean. Really needs renovation but for the money it was worth it...since it was so close to Heavenly Village.

Great location, nice people

I chose this hotel because I had seen it on past trips while riding the Heavenly Gondola. The price was good, so I decided to try. The location is wonderful. I didn't have to get in my car once, because everything was in walking distance. The lobby of the Suites is very nice, the rooms are standard mid-range Tahoe motel. The breakfast was ok, bagels, cereal, hard boiled eggs, waffles. I would have liked to have seen oatmeal. My room was missing the tv remote, and when I called down I was told they couldn't get me one until the next day (when I was checking out). The folks at the desk had good recommendations for dinner.

Forest Suites Time Machine

If you are interested in being close to the Heavenly Valley gondola, there are few places that are better, all of which are slightly more expensive. Those higher prices also come with more updated decor (1980's style here with older TV's, too), a more energetic staff and at least a bar in the hotel. Housekeeping was good - as was the overall maintenance.
