Good locations
My girlfriend and I stayed at this location for he weekend. We both enjoyed our stay and found the location pleasing for the reason of closiness to downtown, cleaniness of the room and good pricing. No this is not the most upscale location but well worth the price. I recommend this location at it's reasonable rate.

Great price for close gondola access
I loved that it was near the Gondola at a very good price. The only thing wrong was that the bath water faucet did not work very well. Someone could easily scald themselves on this - they should have a plumber fix it - Room 311. Breakfast everyday was good!.

Great location, nice people
I chose this hotel because I had seen it on past trips while riding the Heavenly Gondola. The price was good, so I decided to try. The location is wonderful. I didn't have to get in my car once, because everything was in walking distance. The lobby of the Suites is very nice, the rooms are standard mid-range Tahoe motel. The breakfast was ok, bagels, cereal, hard boiled eggs, waffles. I would have liked to have seen oatmeal. My room was missing the tv remote, and when I called down I was told they couldn't get me one until the next day (when I was checking out). The folks at the desk had good recommendations for dinner.

Great Location
The location can't be beat and the property is smoke free, which is a nice reprieve from the nightlife in Reno. The rooms are small but adequate. There's really nothing outstanding about the space- I would consider it a budget property that is clean, has a good ski-style breakfast, and an on-site Powder House ski rental facility. The hot tub is on the small side and wasn't all that hot (but it was quite cold and snowy while there). While there, approximately 2 feet of snow fell and the workers were diligent in shoveling and plowing.

Check out The Naked Fish and be there at 5pm opening or else you will wait over an hour. But if you wait for over an hour, it is worth it. Great quality sushi.

Another time traveler
Forest Suites Time Machine
If you are interested in being close to the Heavenly Valley gondola, there are few places that are better, all of which are slightly more expensive. Those higher prices also come with more updated decor (1980's style here with older TV's, too), a more energetic staff and at least a bar in the hotel. Housekeeping was good - as was the overall maintenance.

Feels like crashing at someone's house
I was here for a wedding recently and was upgraded to the suite. It felt like someone's apartment so I decided to have the wedding party come over for drinks after the rehearsal/casino. It went over well and the was plenty of room for 12 of us. The only complaint was some of the towels had stains that were none too pleasant. However, I would go there again for the price!
