Forest Suites Resort at Heavenly Village

We loved how close the hotel was from the gondola and all the activities in the area, were within walking distance. The hotel is a little old, but the room was updated with new amenities. The staff also gave us the option of wine or snacks daily, instead of unnecessary detail cleaning such as vacuuming or making our beds. The complementary breakfast was fantastic before skiing. We would certainly stay there again! (With our kids, next time.)

We went to celebrate our birthday's with a Ski vacation - and this was a very comfortable place to stay. We had a 1 bedroom suite and it had everything we needed! We used the microwave, fridge, freezer, oven, and stove top. All worked just fine but were at least 5 year old appliances. No complaints! The only thing that bothered us was that the mattress pad kept slipping off the bed. The walk to the gondola was not that far, but with ski boots on and carrying the skis... it was a little bit of a chore. The value of the location and the price was very good though!

This place was perfect. Right next to the Gondola for Heavenly Skiing and the room was amazing. Will be back for sure.

Where ever you need to go in South Lake Tahe is in walking distance from here. Best location possible. And I guess for the value, the room was good enough. Not fancy, but clean and comfortable. The wireless is free only for the first night. Don't forget to take the Gondola to the top of the mountain. It's 100% worth it.

This is a Hotel that its located 1 block from the main street, and right behind a brand new resort, 2 minutes from access to the gondola, where you can go up to the top of the mountain (we did). Its not brand new, but , again, location, location, location cant be beat. Personal was really friendly, breakfast was on the house, and plentiful, rooms with free WIFI. We didn't need to use the car to go around, since we were in the middle of the action, but its really a quiet location, no noise at all.

This hotel has the advantage of being in the shadow of the Marriott at Heavenly Valley. Our stay was great except for the raging ILLEGAL pool party going on outside our window until 1 A.M.. Management did all they could do, calling security first and when that didn't work, the police eventually showed up and kicked them out. The problem with South Lake Tahoe is the local pieces of ish who are losers and drug users who hate that people with jobs can go on vacation and relax in their town. I will go to North Tahoe in the future.

We got married and would have like something a bit more updated. The floors creaked. It was very dark and gloomy, could have used a lighter coat of paint and brighter lights. I guess if you had several people staying in suite it would be a savings but it just didnt work for us. Compared to past hotel experiences this was a bit disappointing.

Hotel was great.. My husband and I loved our stay at this hotel.. Hotel was nice, clean, the location was perfect walking distance to restaurants, shops, casino and ski resort... Perfect for the price.. We would go back and stay at this hotel again...

We were in Tahoe for a wedding and the hotel had a great location off the main street (within walking distance to the Heavenly Gondolas and the casinos on the stateline) and it was pretty inexpensive.

Very good location. Short walk to Heavenly village and gondola. Hotel suite is dated and carpet needs replacing but good value. Jacuzzi was great to rest our weary legs after long days on the slopes.
