Americas Best Value Inn

I have stayed there numerous times,and enjoyed each visit. I only wish the wifi in the rooms would function. The computers in the office are nice. I will return. RD .

We just needed a room for crashing after a long day for fun... This gave just that.. My wife had no complains.. Bed was comfortable and I had no complains too. Just some noises on the floor above..

Considering the price it was OK.. Everything is really old, which makes the room look uncomfortable and not too clean (although they do have daily house-cleaning). Front-desk staff is friendly (at least 2 of the 3 people manning that desk). Our room's toilet was clogged and when I reported it I was told that I can get a plunger from the front desk. So I had to unclog it myself, finding that someone threw some metal thing into the toilet. Bed was comfortable and shower worked well, so if you just want a place to crash for the night between your ski/hiking/whatever days, then this place is a good option.

Overall, I believe that it was very good choice, especially considering the relatively low price. The location was okay: about 5 mins by walk from Heavenly, and about 10 mins from the grocery. The room was comfort. In fact, there was occasional noise from the upstairs during daytime (I stayed in the room on the ground floor, just across the office, and besides the stairs). But it disappeared in the nighttime. The staff was very kind and helpful. I had some transportation problem on the day when I checked out, and they did their best to help me with extreme kindness (Thank you again! That was a great relief for me!). Even before the happening, I was touched by their kindness -- but after the happening, I started to love them. :)

Great value. Not the greatest but you get what you pay for.

First, we were charged additional amount after pre paid reservation. One-star is a generous rating for a tiny old room, lack of security bolt, refrigerator, micro wave, coffee pot, air dryer, with pushing staff, tight parking, noise from 3 neighbors, cheap mattress, cheap ploy blanket, fake orange juice, and other surprises fit to ruin my vacation. It's good value if you hover just above ground level.

I satay at Best Tahoe West for one night with my 2 kids. The room was very spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple but nice: wafels and bagels. It is not fancy hotel but it is great for the money. I would highly recommend this hotel for budget travelers.

We enjoyed our stay here. Very comfortable for the price we paid. Excellent location, close to main attractions ~ dining, ski resort, casino, beach etc.

I had a very solid experience. I was traveling on business and stayed three nights. It was very quiet and peaceful. (MIght be different in peak season) Everything was clean and worked. The sheets and towels were thin. The furniture, bed covers and curtains were old. A new paint job would brighten the room. The bed was comfortable. The fitness center consisted of a treadmill and a bench press and some dumbbells. My room was huge. It contained a big table with four chairs, a comfy armchair, and a kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The soap and toiletries were organic. The location is great - you are mere blocks from casinos and the gondola and shopping and dining. Lake Tahoe and a big sand beach are only blocks away in the other direction. Hotel is several streets off the main drag which makes it quiet. The wifi in the room was really weak. Slow and intermittent. You can use the lobby computers and the wifi signal is excellent in the lobby. I didnt try the breakfast.
